「The property was beautiful and staff were wonderful. I loved the easy proximity to the Stowe path and it’s on one of the most scenic river sections. The room was spacious and bed extremely comfortable. We stayed on the first floor and had access to outside which we loved as it accommodated our busy in and out schedule. The breakfast was fantastic and was a fabulous start to our day! I would have rated a 5 but there were two downfallls 1. The hot tub was milky so did not use but we honestly...

「We only stayed one night, but we really enjoyed the on site restaurant for dinner. Such a cute property overall. It was our first “inn” experience so we don’t have anything gear to compare to, but it beats a large chain hotel on charm hands down.」

「Everything from the food at the restaurant, the check-in, the cabin, and pool/hot tub was thoughtful and fit the location beautifully. Everything worked to make your stay feel stylish and considered without becoming “stylized” or pretentious. The grounds are simple and rugged, the restaurant and pool feel like memories of childhood at the campground. The cabins like exquisite viewing platforms of the surrounding wilderness.」

「Butler House speaks of itself: a house with the amazing management of a great butler - the result of the dedication of the owner, Paul and his wife. Paul was so friendly and though he was always busy at the breakfast room, he always checked if we needed help Our room was spacious, clean and tidy and offered everything we need.The kitchen is big and we enjoyed cooking there. I used their washing machine and dryer and detergent and softener were available. Highly recommended for couples...

「The positives: The rooms and the property were immaculately clean and well-kept and the choice of pools (indoor and outdoor) was a nice amenity. The negatives: Booking through Expedia incurred a $10 fee that was unexpected and the hotel staff did a mediocre job explaining the rationale for that charge. Being a culinary resort, I expected more treats included for guests and if not free breakfast, then at least a meal subsidy at one of the onsite eateries. All in all, it’s a nice, quiet place...
