“I would give this place a five stars except when you pull up and come in they surprise you with a $10 parking fee to park in the parking lot. This isn’t the Ritz Carlton or the Hyatt in downtown Chicago. This is northern Idaho next to a Walmart type shopping center where they charge you $10 to pull into the public parking lot in the middle of the main drag. I have no idea why. Forewarned, I complained to the property manager and all I got was an email stating they’ll be more transparent about it……

“The room and buildings were very clean - the issue was the pool area. Super dirty, visible algae on the side of the pool and hot tub, and the other hot tub was filled with bugs. Grass was growing through the bricks on the deck - the entire area was clearly not taken care of. I understand this is the shoulder season, which is why we wanted to come - to enjoy the quiet and pool area. But this was just gross. All employees we encountered were awesome.”

“Okay place and cheaper than most in Sandpoint. Not close to downtown area. Liked having laundry on location and nearby grocery store. We had been camping and was nice place to get cleaned up.”

“Schweitzer Village was pretty vacant this time of year and we were thankful for that since we were able to get an amazing room with a beautiful view. Each staff member was extremely helpful and the Humbird had a great game room, gym, and rooftop jacuzzi.”

“The hotel is a typical American roadside motel it was pretty much as you would expect. The reception lady was lovely and welcoming the check in process quick and efficient. The parking was plentiful. The room was perfectly clean and presentable no frills but as mentioned perfectly fine. Nothing exceptional but just fine. Downtown is roughly 10-15 min walk for restaurants and bars the onsite bar lounge is good the bar tender we met was excellent.”

“Clean room. Our room was at the far end and the outdoor stairs were broken and roped off so this was very inconvenient with a bad knee.”

“The room i stayed in was pretty good especially for the price. The rooms have been remodeled and are what the photos show. Pro: everything is pretty much new. Liked that there was a kitchen and full fridge with microwave, sink and stove. Bathroom was really nice too (you will need to use the kitchen sink to wash hands as theres no bathroom sink) and bed was pretty comfortable.
