Terrific cabin!

Cabin was very clean, well stocked, and comfortable for all. Views were great during the day and viewing the night sky was an added bonus. Our stay was delightful in this cozy cabin, only 7 minutes or so to shop downtown Blowing Rock and 15 minutes to Boone, would want to go back again! I’d highly recommend this cabin with a view and secluded location to others.

Cousins Getaway

One of our favorite homes - we will be back!

The home is very beautiful with a lot of nice touches and the view is incredible. Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles. We loved that the house had a game room downstairs. We really enjoyed playing foosball in the evenings.

Trip for Sr. Citizens

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Mist cabin in Blowing Rock, NC. The directions to the cabin were right on point. The instructions on how to unlock the door were exact. (The cabin we stayed in last year, through a different agency, had no instructions and it took us almost an hour to get inside, at night no less, after 3 phone calls to the property management.) Our cabin was VERY, VERY clean in all rooms. Any issues that came up, which was only one, were addressed quickly and efficiently. The cabin offers beautiful scenery right out the back door which you can enjoy on the deck. 😀 For some constructive feedback: The Welcome Book was not out and visible. We found it on the third day in a kitchen drawer along with the garage door opener. The book also had the ROKU pin number for the TV, so we were unable to watch the shows we like, until then. We had no instructions on how to use the TV so struggled with it most of our stay. The Welcome Book is a red paper folder like the kids use in school, so is pretty beat up. We would suggest using a vinyl 3-prong notebook to make it sturdy and lesson the damage from the bending, folding, etc., and to leave it on the front entranceway table or leave instructions on where it's located. You may want to include the cleanup procedures. Another thing we would suggest is to add disabled bars in the bathroom shower/tub areas and to add the higher toilet seats. We loved the devotional book beside the bed. Maybe add a Bible?

Great weekend in Blowing Rock

We really enjoyed our long weekend in Blowing Rock. The cabin had amazing views and was in a very convenient location to everything we wanted to do. The cabin had everything we needed and was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

It’s so good when what you see online is what you get in real life. This was the most comfortable I’ve ever been on a mountain trip. This was a little slice of heaven and I can’t wait to go back!

Te property was nice enough, but there were issues. We rented the place as a gift to my adult daughter and spouse. It had not been cleaned, dusty everywhere, jetted tub had hair. I even emphasized how important it was for my daughter with allergies that it needed to be clean. We paid for a late check -put . Cleaning lady shows up 2 hours before . They rushed to leave. I did get a refund for 80 extra I had paid to get 2pm checkout. Low rating for ckeanliness

Blue Mist is Magnificent

Fantastic views in a beautiful very private log home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for meal preparation and serving. The bedrooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Blue Mist provides a wonderful Blue Ridge Mountain get-away.

This property is in a great location and it was a very easy process with the property management.

This is a very spacious and clean property. It is stocked well in the kitchen and has plenty of room. The view off the back deck is amazing. It is close to town if you want to shop or eat at the local restaurants. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.

Amazing view

On our way up we were notified that the fireplace wasn’t working so that was definitely disappointing but we had a wonderful time. Great location definitely need a 4 wheel drive if you go in the winter with snow esp if you park in the lower garage. Yes we had ladybugs and stink bugs and signs of a mouse(never saw one, but saw droppings and it chewed a hole in the bread) I wouldn’t leave food out. Didn’t upset us, the house has woods all around and it’s cold out so wasn’t surprised. Otherwise the house was great, lots of room and had everything needed to cook with. The view was amazing esp in the morning. I would stay here again, hopefully the fireplace will be working next time, they did give us a discount which was nice.

Family vacation

We enjoyed our week at Blue Mist. The home was perfect for our family vacation and birthday celebration. We enjoyed the foosball table In the lower level and the open main level for family time. It was also conveniently located to area attractions.

I love Blue Mist for the rooms and views and amenities. However, it was a bit challenging this year with the building of a house next door: lots of beeping trucks, a well being drilled, smoke from brush being burned and the thumping of trees being cut down. However, it should be better next year when the house is completed. I would not hesitate to come back next year, or recommend Blue Mist to anyone else. i especially like the beds being made when we arrived, and the new appliances: dishwasher and refrigerator. I love the dishes in the cabinet next to the dining table. The rental was very well handled and would use Cabin Rentals again.

Blue Mist

Everything about the Blue Mist cabin is conducive to a wonderful time of rest and relaxation. The views are spectacular. Mornings are filled with birds singing and clouds resting on the mountain tops. Just a short drive away is the adorable town of Blowing Rock with all the quaintness a mountain town should have. This trip we hiked Linville Falls and enjoyed a trip to Laurel Creek where our teenaged daughter jumped off the rocks into the river and our toddler played in the creek. If you want a beautiful time in the mountains, visit The Blue Mist Cabin and enjoy!

Blue Mist is Wonderful!!!!

My wife and I just spent a week at Blue Mist and had a wonderful time. Of course the scenery/views are exceptional, but the cabin was also perfect for our needs. The layout and furnishings of the house are more than adequate and everything was clean and neat when we arrived. The rooms are all comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied - all we had to add was the food! The location provides beautiful views and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock and nearby sites and activities. The folks at Carolina Cabin Rentals were professional, kind and helpful throughout the process. Truly a 5-Star experience!

Amazing views! WiFi is spotty and comes and goes. We had hundreds of ladybugs hanging out in the house with us, but we didn’t mind the company.

Blue Mist

The Blue Mist was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and cleaning. It didn't bother us but I do need to mention two things. One...there were many lady bugs in and around the upstairs. There were so many we swept them into a pile in the corner of the dining room where it appeared to be the worst. Second...there is a bad water leak in the garage. Since there was so much rain it appeared the water was coming in along the wall of the garage on the street side. So much water that there was a large puddle in the garage.
