Wir haben eine wundervolle Übernachtung mit tollem Frühstück hier verbracht. Die Deko ist sehr viel, aber es hat so viel Charme, dass man sich einfach nur wohl fühlt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt, die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Alles wunderbar!

This is setup as a guesthouse (think bed and breakfast in the USA). The hosts were warm. We stayed in the family room which was small but big enough for 2 kids and 2 adults with comfortable beds. The room view was great. There is a nice kitchen that is shared with free coffee/tea and a fridge too. They also have a coffee/café below the guesthouse. We didn’t try it because we were trying to save money by cooking ourselves (restaurants are quite pricey in Iceland).

We stayed in the family room and it had a really lovely view. The kitchen was well stocked and all was clean. What we didn't like was the over-the-top decor: Buddhas and other religious icons everywhere, angels, Christmas lights, elephants, etc. It was not a neutral setting and if we would have known what a busy atmosphere this was, we would most likely have chosen somewhere else to stay. Also the hallway smelled like incense, likely from the coffee shop below where the decor continued.

The house has a unique atmosphere. It was rather stuffed with al particular things, even xmas lights. You can use the livingroom as well as the kitchen. We think the kitchen could use an update. You like it or not. The rate was in line with what you get.

The room we had was advertised as 'bright'. Sort of... if you turn all the lights on. The window in the room was painted over (with another building almost adjacent) so no view or natural light. For ventliation... a tiny vent so the room became extremely stuffy. The room next door is similar I believe. Calling it a bright room and not pointing out the lack of window and the poor ventlation seems to verge on deception, in my opinion.

My major concern was the bathroom. The owner rented out 5 family shared with one bathroom. I was waiting for bath for an hour. When I woke up the morning I saw 6 people waiting for a kitchen to use for breakfast. I was checked out if I wear outside shoes in the house all time. I know there is no competition in the small town in terms of Bnb. Seriously, we comes to the town to enjoy but not to suffer from amenities.
