Love this place. The check-in desk person was very welcoming. The restaurant is delicious and pretty. Lots of amenities on the property. We only had time to dip in the warm pools. Lovely room with comfortable beds.
Lovely room, with large bathroom with robes and slippers provided. Continental breakfast provided with some hot food ie scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Staff were very helpful, allowed to check in slightly earlier out out slightly later.
We were disappointed with the hot pools not quite what we had expected. Saying that the sauna by them was excellent. Bring a towel to sit on a seating gets hot.
A gem in the middle of Husafell. Thanks to the staff thoughtful tracking of the Noethen Lights, we were able to see them in mid April. The restaurant is top notch and the heated pools are a bonus!

Great location, staff, and amenities. Saw the most amazing Northern Lights.
If you’re doing West Iceland properly, this is such a solid stay. Hotel Húsafell feels modern and comfortable but still totally embedded in the landscape. It’s a perfect launching point for hikes and local tours, and it’s so nice to come back to a warm, quiet room after a full day out. The staff were genuinely kind, and the restaurant/bar setup made evenings easy without needing to drive anywhere else
Amazing location and staff, combined this was an experience that could only be had here in this isolated place. Marco and Paula made us feel at home even though were were so far from it.
The hotel restaurant is fantastic! Food is fresh, locally sourced and delicious. The hotel has an understated luxurious feel with warm comforts and great service. The onsite thermal pools were wonderful after a long day on the glaciers or caving; traveled with a 9yr old and he was more than welcome in the pools and had a great time. Also, a great location as it is a 1 min walk from Into the Glacier tours (highly recommend)
Hotel Husafell is a beautiful place to get away and enjoy the idyllic Iceland countryside. Lovely paths to walk on, gorgeous views, thermal heated pools, and an awesome happy hour and restaurant. The food was outstanding. The staff at the Husafell Hotel were also most helpful and kind. Maybe on my next visit there, I will be able to see the northern lights!
Staff is incredible. Fantastic Hotel in a remote area. Surrounded by nature and super friendly people.
The food at the restaurant is Michelin Star worthy but very reasonably priced.
Highly recommend this hotel.
Loved the cozy feel of the Hotel Husafell! Great rooms, staff, restaurant! Wish we could have stayed more than one night. Nice areas to walk right from your door, too!
Beautiful hotel with its own thermal waters. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food delicious! I would gladly stay again, and recommend it to everyone.
