Bouches-du-Rhône Spa Hotel

"The hotel is well-positioned for those who want to explore Aix. The hotel has beautiful grounds (if it's sunny) and there is a gorgeous pool outdoors for those who like to lounge. Downside, poor service in the bar -- overwhelmed staff with insufficient staff to serve guests in a timely fashion. Makes it difficult if you are trying to be more casual and get a bite to eat or drink there. Skimpy on things like amenities to the skin and hair -- no hair conditioner in the room or in the spa. No body...

"We were upgraded to a very nice and large suite which was great. Very comfortable. Amazing but rather open plan bathroom which was fine, other than the open plan toilet (which had no door). Dining was good and enjoyable. Large swimming pool. Understaffed at times. Overall recommended. "
