"This property is a little gem just far enough away from the busy town centre, but easy walking distance. The availability of a car parking spot was such a bonus. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Everything we required was there. One thing that caused us a little anxiety in the bathroom, was the bath with only a hand held shower, which we needed to navigate very cautiously. Shame the space taken up by a bath is not a shower cubicle, a little dangerous, in our opinion."

"Barton Cottage is a lovely property in the beautiful Bourton on the Water. There is a lot to do just walking around the village (kid friendly)and nearby villages. There are great dining options nearby. We enjoyed the comfortable living room. We did have trouble finding the property and couldn’t get ahold of the management service. "Lovely property just a short walk into the centre of Bourton on the water, though beware there is a very steep hill to climb when walking back. Very spacious. Lounge and open plan kitchen could do with a bit of an update. Fabulous views across the country side and so many different species of birds to view from the very large window in the lounge. Owners very kindly left binoculars and a bird book. Extremely quiet setting. Stayed Friday to Monday and it was a really lovely break. "

"Apart from one fundamental thing our stay was faultless. The pet-friendly room was large and had plenty of space for a fold-out sofa bed for our daughter. The location is excellent for exploring Cheltenham and Imperial Gardens is beautifully maintained. We loved being able to use the swimming pool at Cheltenham Ladies College too. The downside: the room was unbearably hot and the air conditioning system couldn’t cope. The hotel staff said that the system was struggling with the heat, but frankly, what’s the point of an air conditioning system that only works when it’s not hot..? This meant that the room was basically not fit for purpose. Eventually the staff found a spare tower fan but that didn’t really have any effect."

"Situated on the ground floor during a heatwave wasn’t great. We were left wondering if all the rooms in the hotel were full and perhaps they could have located us in a room with a window that opened. The young man who served us for the evening meal was very attentive and very polite which was nice to see. Not so the staff at breakfast."

"My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at The Dial House in Bourton-on-the-Water, and we honestly couldn't have asked for more. We happened to visit during an exceptionally hot spell, with temperatures reaching 36°C, but the staff were absolutely outstanding throughout our stay, doing everything possible to ensure all guests remained comfortable and well looked after. Their professionalism, friendliness and attention to detail really stood out. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, the dinner and breakfast were both excellent, and enjoying cocktails in the stunning garden on a warm summer evening was simply perfect. The location is unbeatable too – right in the heart of the gorgeous Bourton-on-the-Water, making it easy to enjoy everything this beautiful village has to offer. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back!"
