Great visit to gorgeous AMI
We had a wonderful one week visit to AMI! The condo was well appointed and very clean. As with other reviews, the location is perfect - situated right across the street from the Gulf, however, the traffic was somewhat loud. It didn’t bother us as the ocean certainly took precedence!! Rex was easy to communicate with and while the condo may be just a bit tired in decor, it met our needs perfectly! We would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed the beach view
The host was great to work with. The unit was smaller than expected, but met our needs. The location was right on trolley line and very close to everything. The traffic noise was heavy at times. We were lucky to watch the full moon setting. Overall, we had a good stay.

Stunning views, perfect AMI location!
Super cute 2-BR condo that was perfect for my sister and me, with our own private bathrooms and Queen/King beds. I LOVE this location, right at the Cortez St. bridge with short walks to beachfront cafes, shopping, Bridge Street bars, and of course the gorgeous Gulf beach right across the street. The host was friendly and responsive, handled questions quickly and got us settled in well. Will visit again for sure!

The condo was everything the listing said. It had everything we could have needed. The beach was right across the street and there was an abundance of beach toys! We didn't use the trolly- there were plenty of places to visit, but the trolly was readily available. We saw the bioluminescence, dolphins, and manatee while at the beach. It was a wonderful vacation.

Great location!
Perfect location with beach access right across the street. With no public parking nearby, the beach was always relatively uncrowded. Liked the beach cart, which made transporting items to the beach a breeze. Loved the sunset views each night. The condo itself is nice. It could go for a deep clean of cabinet contents and furniture. One of the strangest things we found was standing water in 2 pots (one with the lid on), 1 pan and 1 glass mixing bowl that were in the cabinets. There may be more, but I wasn’t going to look. This was just in the items we used. We did spend our first night and the majority of our first morning and afternoon helping with a very gross (to put it mildly) cleaning situation. (No fault of the owners…apparently the previous guests caused the situation.) The owners kept in close contact and sent a family member and handyman to help, which was nice. The work we did was time-consuming, very unsanitary, and did take up many hours of our vacation. I would have hoped to receive at least an offer from the owners to refund part of the cleaning fee or a partial night or even offer to send us to dinner on them for taking care of the situation for them. They were kind and did thank us, but I don’t think they really understand all the gross work that went in to helping them out. That being said, our family had a very nice week on AMI. We will be back for sure!

Great Family Vacation!!
We had a wonderful relaxing vacation! The condo was perfect. The view was amazing and we had everything we needed. The location was great! Everyone mentions the noise of traffic. I’m a light sleeper and it didn’t bother me one time. It has a room with chairs, a wagon, life jackets, coolers,etc. That was so amazing and a big bonus! The only thing is the building does need a lot of attention cosmetically, but don’t be discouraged on booking because of that. It’s not the condo, it’s only the outside of the building. My outlook on that is, you’re on an island that gets a lot of storms and it’s hard to keep up with issues like that. You will not be disappointed with this condo!!

Relaxing, beautiful getaway.

Beautiful Views!
Amazing property with a private beach within a minutes walk! The island is pretty much bike accessible or trolley accessible everywhere. Highly recommend to check the island out via bicycles! The bridge street shops and restaurants were super cute and fun and within a short bike ride or walk from the condo. We loved our stay and didn't want to go!

AMI stay at Bridgeport
Everything was really nice. Beach towels along with chairs and beach wagon furnished. The only thing was that the glass doors and windows in the LR needed shades due to the sun and the caution lights from the stop lights at night. A couple of issues with the fridge and the bathroom drain were handles very quickly. Overall a great vacation and stay

Older buildings ,central location, the 202unit was decorated very nice and kitchen was stocked well,,,the full ocean front was the best… Hoping to reschedule for nights of mandatory evacuation and lack of electricity in the unit,,lost five nights and I choose to forfeit three night stay in the beginning due to Hurricane Ian.. Glad our Beach View Retreat is a "central location with the 202 unit was decorated very nice and kitchen was stocked well,,,the full ocean front was the best…" Disappointed to receive a 4-star rating, especially when I communicated many times with the guest during Hurricane Ian via Phone, Text, Email, and Vrbo calling me, keeping them updated constantly on the status of the Home, Property, Parking, Water, Power, and Internet... And that is even before agreeing to provide the guest with more free days for rescheduling than the rental agreement states (very few owners/property managers would even consider this let alone support it) as it only says that mandatory evacuation days would be rescheduled... As well, the 1982 building is much newer than most homes on Anna Maria Island and the HOA Board recently voted to charge every owner $30,000 per unit to spruce up a number of property areas, which is in progress but I cannot control the timing... Rex

My wife, 8 year-old daughter and I visited in late July. We love this place! The beach view grabs your attention the second you walk through the door! The condo was clean, comfortable and convenient. The owner was always responsive and friendly. We expected some highway noise but the walls, windows and doors had very good soundproofing. We spent a lot of our downtime on the balcony looking out at the beach. Pedestrian watching was sometimes entertaining as well😆 Really no need for a golf cart if you have a vehicle. Everything is walkable except for Publix. If you do rent a cart, you definitely want a gas-powered one. The covered parking spot is nice to have. The parking spot is pretty far from the elevator so someone that has trouble getting around will have some walking to do. We only used the elevator for a heavy suitcase or two. The only negative thing we could come up with: the pool felt "dated" but it was fine the one time we used it. The weekly rate was very reasonable for a condo with a 180 degree beach view. We look forward to returning!

The best vacation accommodations are always about location, location, location. The Beach View Retreat is the perfect location for a stay on Anna Maria Island. It has awesome views of the ocean from the master bedroom, patio, living room and kitchen and is an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and the beach. You are literally across the street from beautiful Bradenton Beach (where we spent many hours enjoying the sand and water), a block away from the Wicked Cantina restaurant, Gulf Shore Cafe and Green Turtle (a nice gift and surf shop for all your beach needs and souvenirs), and 4-5 blocks from Historic Bridge Street (and AMI Pier) which has many more restaurants and shops. The Beach View Retreat is also perfect for those looking for water excursions as many launch from the Cortez Marina (3-5 minute drive) and North Coquina Boat Ramp (8-10 minute drive). If you want to explore the northern part of AMI, it's an easy 10-15 minute drive in a car or golf cart. A trolley stop is also located right across the street for those without a vehicle. The condo is also located near the Cortez Bridge, which makes it a breeze to come and go from the island compared to the heavily trafficked Anna Maria Island Bridge. The unit was super clean, including all kitchenware (which can be hard to find in a VRBO unit) and the shower had solid water pressure. There is no need to pack a lot either as the unit has a washer and dryer. Such a luxury!! Some reviews have mentioned the busy street in front of the building. It is a busy road, but unless you're on a side street somewhere on the island with no beach view, all roads on AMI are busy. It's a small island with only a few main roads. It can be a little noisy at times, but we enjoyed having breakfast, Happy Hour and watching sunsets on the patio every day. The busy street did not hinder our enjoyment of the patio or unit. It's fun to people watch! The communication with owners Rex and Michelle was the best I've experienced on VRBO. They truly care about their customers and your vacation experience. This is a must-stay unit on AMI. We will definitely be back!

The condo unit was exactly what I was looking for. Pet friendly and had a great view of the beach and ocean. We loved our time on Anna Maria island and the ease of walking to the beach every day was perfect with the little ones. This has literally been the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed at! They thought of everything! Even the light switches are labeled (amazing!) Only down fall is that the road between the rental and the beach is ver busy and the street light really impedes on being able to relax in the evening on the balcony. But if I had done more googling I could have figured that out with a map. We have little ones so I was hoping to relax listening to the waves after I put them to bed, and the traffic made it difficult. It was still a great, clean, convenient place with a spectacular view of the sunset!

Great stay!
We had a fantastic stay! The location is very central to the island and extremely convenient to everything. The listing was extremely accurate and the unit did not disappoint- had everything we needed and more. Communication with owner was great, timely and helpful. As it sits at a big intersection there is a lot of traffic noise, but certainly not a showstopper- would most definitely stay here again. The beach was right across the street and we watched the sunset from both locations-equally impressive from either view. Recommendation- We rented a golf cart and it was fun, but will get a car next time and the golf cart did limit our range a tad. Thanks for a great week!

Another great experience
We stayed in this same condo complex in a different condo (managed by Rex also) last year. The check in / out process was easy and clearly defined. The condo was just as described and comes with everything promised. Views are absolutely amazing!! Beach access is directly across the street and extremely convenient. The storage locker for beach accessories, toys, and wagon made it a breeze to head to the beach with everything needed. The pool area provided a break from the sun in the evening while still enjoying the water. All of the residents of the complex were also extremely nice and were a pleasure to visit with. My wife and I wanted to create some life long memories with our children and Anna Maria is an amazing place to do so. A great place to stay that is conveniently located to shopping, dining, and of course the beach helped us exceed our goals and I know our children (and my wife and I as well) will be thinking back to these wonderful memories forever. I can not wait to come back next year and will happily book in this complex and with Rex as a host again!! Thanks Rex!

First Visit
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to AMI & staying at this condo. The location is great with the beach right across the street. Use the chairs in the supply locker & walk out to watch the sunset every night. The view from the window is very nice to see each day. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance - highly recommend Wicked Cantina (their breakfast is good, too). For ice cream, walk to Island Scoops a few blocks down. The unit itself is a good size & very clean with everything you need. The beds are comfortable & there are tv's in the bedrooms. We loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning & relaxing at night. Rex is a great host & communication was good. We hope to come back next year.

A wonderful fun stay for my sister reunion!
This condo worked perfectly for me and my sisters! Rex, our host, was great! He left us a lot of information of things to do. The condo was very clean and well equipped. We had some problems with the fridge and Rex had the maintenance man there within an hour!! We loved watching the beautiful sunsets from the balcony. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a great place to stay on the beach.

Awesome!
My wife and I stayed at this property to celebrate her upcoming Birthday. The unit itself is just as advertised. Clean, updated, and close to everything. Morning walks on the beach across the street are a must. I have only been gone for two days and already miss it. Being able to walk to evening entertainment was fantastic. We enjoyed the places on Bridge street along with many others places off of the island Some of our favorites were: Monday nights for live music at The Bridge Tender. The Donut Experiment on the North end of the island The Ringling Museum The Ford/Edison Winter Homes I did hire a guide to fish one day. If you do this bring your catch to the Waterfront Grill. They will grill your fish up for you. It was excellent! We also enjoyed several of the beaches with the chairs that Rex provides. Our favorite was Manatee Beech as they had a nice place to get refreshments and a meal. Great Island, great view from the property and a wonderful get away trip! Todd and Jan

Great Stay
Great property and location. Loved sitting out on patio and enjoying the beautiful sunsets and watching the world go by. Several nice restaurants and many attractions within walking distance. Only minor complaint was weekday early morning traffic noise, other than that everything was wonderful and as described in listing.

Exactly as described!
This property was exactly as described in reviews! Cannot beat the location and fully loaded with everything that you could possibly need ( household/kitchen/beach). It is nothing fancy by any means and on a road that is busy/loud during the day…but nothing that would deter us from staying here again (I like to know about these things when reading reviews also). Overall- a very nice & pleasant stay and would recommend!

Awesome property!
The condo is fantastic, it is located close to many great restaurants (you can walk to several), if you want to stay in and cook you will have the kitchen tools to do it. And the beach toys, oh my. We will definitely stay here again.
