「Room was ok, clean but an empty bowl was on the table catching water from a leaking window. Windows were dirty. Never seen staff. Guy on phone on the Friday was rude and unhelpful. Great view. Not family friendly. We had 2 drunk men wandering around the property. Loved the fact there was free water, crisps and sweets. Now that was a nice touch. Once in the room it was ok.」

「The chalet was very clean. But very worn and dated. There was also a wasp nest in the grate of the enclosed garden so couldn't let my dog out as she snaps at them. The TV remote was melted and didn't work properly and there were only 3 dinner plates one of which has a big chip in it. No scissors and no washing up bowl. But we managed. Lovely shower just a shame about the ceiling mold. Definitely in need of some tlc and a lick of paint.」

「Really enjoyed our stay at Hartendale. Very well equipped cottage and the welcome pack and bottle of bubbly very well received. Excellent location within walking distance to the beach, supermarket, a fantastic chippy and pubs. Very quiet and relaxing. Ample parking on street and gated secure garden front and back. Would definitely return.」

「Property was quite dirty. I had to was all of the cutlery. There were grease smears on the cooker hob. The oven trays and grill were filthy. Did not use because of this. I did not receive the wifi information until 5 days into my stay. This was after leaving messages on owners voicemail. They never got back to me at all. Had to go through a customer complaints procedure with Sykes cottages to get the wifi details. No apology, just an email with a picture of the router (which wasn’t in the flat)....

「The place was immaculate on arrival, compact but had everything we needed. Good WiFi and good TV. Bed was very comfy and shower was easy to control. There was a lovely welcome basket with lots of goodies in from Mary, the host, along with spa slippers and toothbrush sets. Very thoughtful. Mary lives next door and was very helpful snd friendly.」

「has everything you need for a short stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms are quite tiny and wardrobe space is limited. No problem if you are out and about most of the time but staying in might be a bit crammed. There is a small outdoor area to sit in - if you like talking to the neighbours as all chalets are close together.」

「It was a traditional three bed room town house so it was more than enough for two of us but we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, quiet and very convenient to the train station, local shops and restaurants. The beach is just 3 mins walk away. The communication with the landlady was very good as well and Ruth was very helpful. We like Bridlington a lot so definitely consider to come back to this house again. 」
