“Exactly as advertised - the host was lovely and gave us recommendations of where to go and where to eat, the breakfast was excellent and room very comfortable (clean, tidy, nicely presented, etc.). We had a great time!”

“Comfortable quiet stay part of a longer visit to relatives. Room was cosy and ensuite was good fully functioning with lovely shower. Bed was firm but comfortable ,facilities limited but to an acceptable pricepoint ”

“this hotel is a little surprise. Doesn’t look much from the outside and not helped by being next to a disused building. However, once you enter it is a very different experience. The hotel is lovely, well maintained and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. We had a family room which was very good, though could do with some better quality bed linen. “We stayed as we are renovating after a house move and the plasterer had taken over the house. It was a welcome break from the daily work of clearing up after tradesmen! The staff were lovely and the food good. We may be back - depending on how things progress at home!”

“We always enjoy our stay at the Lawns when we come to Retford to visit family and friends. The rooms are much bigger than average and there is plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely big towels and a good supply of hot drinks and bottled water.Extremely good value.”
