“The Brown Hotel is a beautiful, old southern hotel. Due to its age, I am sure it will receive some poor reviews. And to be sure some updating could be done. Our mattress while still comfortable was obviously old. But this is a great experience because of the historic nature and beauty of the space, stay here if you get a chance and spend some time in the lobby and get transported back in time to how hotels used to be.”
“This place is our favorite bed and breakfast in Louisville. We have been coming here for years and the new owners have done incredible job. Jeff was a great host and cook, we will be back!”
“We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was amazing and we loved the breakfast! The bed was sooo comfortable and the room was spacious and nice! Highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again in the future! ”
“Beautiful hotel. It was a very nice stay, but bring ear plugs. The bars are open until 4am, and so the noise from surrounding venues will keep you up until 4am.”
“Beautifully restored house with spacious, clean rooms. The staff were all extremely nice and accommodating. They even thought of all the little things that make a B&B special like leaving rain ponchos out for the guests on rainy days and leaving a variety of freshly baked goods out for late night snacks. It was a 15 minute ride to Churchill Downs and 5 minutes from downtown Louisville. But, there were many restaurants and pubs in short walking distance. I highly recommend the Market Street Inn. ”
“Very clean and excellent service. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Top of the line steaks cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Ronnie, was superb!”
