Bear Creek Crossing

Overall this was a nice place to stay. Amenities were nice. The inside was clean and had everything needed for our stay. The outside of the property needs a little TLC and upgrades. We would stay there again if we were planning another trip to the area.

Great location!

Beautiful property to stay at. We enjoyed Going to “The Road to Nowhere” and Deep Creek tubing. Everything we wanted to do was within a 20 minute drive. The driveway is very steep to get up, but we adapted to it quickly. The view from the porch is spectacular.

Weekend Getaway

Overall the property was nice. Great open space and the fireplace was a hit. Beautiful view BUT THE getting up there was a challenge. The hot tub was a bonus but probably should put up some sorta gate around the edge of the area...in the dark you could take a serious tumble down a giant hill. Showers were less than desirable; the master shower was like a shoe box and the downstairs shower head was almost not useable. Beautiful home just keep up with the maintenance.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time at Black Bear Crossing. My family and I come for a family reunion and it is the perfect location for us. It is minutes away from tubing and the national park. Central is located to Cherokee and other attractions. We enjoy sitting on the deck and looking at the beautiful view. This trip I had my younger ages 4-19 and they loved the home. The only problem we had that the AC in the upper level went out for a day and half and we congregated in the lower level to sleep due to how hot it was. Someone did come out and fixed it while we went out. Coming from flat land you must be able to drive up the steep driveway and make a quick turn into the drive, make sure you watch for the rocks on your right side. By the end of the second trip I learned how to back out to the road without going over the hill. It is a lovely place for families and we plan on coming again next year. And watch out for the Black Bears!

Driveway was really steep and there was not as much room for cars as I was expecting. The jacuzzi jets were not working well and the lights didn't turn on so we didn't use it. The downstairs shower had little to no water pressure. The dryer was not working properly so the clothes that were washed never got dry. The lights going outside to the firepit were very dim. There was a few dead spiders on one of the down stairs bed.

And a extra space downstairs with a couch, tv and room to play was perfect for my 4 year old who sometimes needs an escape. My teens loved the place too. My husband and I enjoyed it for us and the whole family. Beautiful views, well cared for home and just what we needed. Close to town but felt like we we off to ourselves. Clean and taken care of. Perfect for families. We can’t wait to stay again. Highly recommend.

Very private, had a bit of a problem with the fireplace and washer filling up due to shared well. The cleanliness was not to my standards but liveable. The drive is a roller coaster ride. But the view is extraordinary and the staff very attentive, to all our needs.

So cute and close to town

What a beautiful place to stay! So close to town but just far enough to feel secluded. Loved the openness and cooking dinner and then enjoying it out on the deck with the view of the mountains. Will definitely stay here again!
