The room was quite small, with very little unpacking space (no drawers), so we largely lived out of our suitcases for the three days we were there. We came back in the middle of the first day to find the doors were locked: a sign on the door told us that access was via reception of the hotel next door. On making our way through the dimly-lit ground floor public areas, we discovered no electricity anywhere in the hotel, so of course, the lift was out of order. Using the stairs wasn't a problem for us, but it would have been for someone with disabilities or with small children. Possibly this was due to a local issue, but we never found out. Though we didn't have any repeat of the power problem, we did come back to find the front doors locked a second time, with reception in the dark and unstaffed. In general, there was a feeling that it was all very Spartan and understaffed. Housekeeping service was excellent.

Nice hotel, close to city centre

The hotel is right in the centre of Caen, convenient location close to restaurants and bars. The room we had was quite small, but clean and comfortable. There is parking under the hotel so very convenient but its expensive, the spaces are small and we couldn't open the car boot fully with the low ceiling in parts of the car park.

Perfect hotel!

Lovely hotel. Extra friendly staff who spoke good English. I asked for an iron and was given one straight away. In the middle of the city by the port. Perfect for exploring and shopping. I will be returning and have already recommended to others.

very nice place, very well located and easily reachable through the nearby tram and bus stops. lots of walkable streets and food options on walking distance. their breakfast buffet is good. their food options are also ok, but the menu is quite short. the staff are quite friendly and helpful.

Price was right. Off season. Very small room with two twin beds. Sufficient to sleep in. Not sufficient for sitting in. Nice lobby with shared space with Mercure hotel. Amy was super helpful. We walked right next door to great restaurant. Le Bustrodome was recommended. Excellent food and service. Underground free parking too. Great find.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Arrived during thunderstorm, tired and hungry. Details when booking had said room service was available for hot meals and cold snacks. Asked on arrival and told there was no food or even a hot drink available so were directed to nearby restaurant. Had to walk in pouring rain to get food. Would not use again
