"Beware: you will be charged an additional city tax at check-in... this is not included or shown in the Hotels.com price. This is the ONLY hotel I've known to do this and it is borderline dishonest that this is not shown as 'to be paid at the hotel'. The room is small - if you have more than one item of luggage you will struggle. Room door fits badly - gap underneath - so you hear everyone in the corridor (and even in other rooms). No lift to first floor - you will have to lug your suitcase up...

"A beautiful hotel by Lake ziegelsee. The hotel had their own boat dock. The view from our room was of the lake. The was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly, and check in was quick. My only complaint was lack of air conditioning. It was quite warm when we were there even with windows open. Breakfast buffet was good. "

"Staff are very friendly and like a chat. Ample rooms at ground level. Unfortunately, despite roller blinds, the train line that passes right outside the front of the hotel kept me up to the wee hours and then again from dawn. Doesn't help if you like to sleep with open window. I didn't, eventhough the small and stuffy room was a bit claustrophobic with the blinds down. Shower doors on rusty tracks. Breakfast is okay, the breakfast room quite nice with a lovely winter garden."
