The grounds are tropical gardens and each cabin is gorgeously designed with local and recyclable materials. breakfast in the garden is divine and dinner in the evenings is hearty with local farm fresh products. Communication with the host was excellent—he went above and beyond by arranging for his dad to check me in at 1 PM, an hour earlier than the standard check-in time. "Always nice views on the lake. Close to New Arenal which is useful and we found good restaurants. The house was in the mountains and it was very quiet. It is suitable to have a 4x4 to reach the premises."

"We stayed at CR Pariso for six nights. Such a great location for exploring the hanging bridges, kayaking etc. the people who work on the property were lovely and informed. We had so much fun! Definitely recommend!"

"The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We would book this stay again! It had everything we needed for our family of 8. The home itself is beautiful, clean and the attention to detail was very much appreciated. Its a 50 min drive to La Fortuna. The host provided a very detailed pdf on suggestions around the house - we gladly used all of them and it did not disappoint! We are so glad we booked! "

"Greivin & Heylin thought of everything when creating the Yarumo Lodge Rio Celeste Black Chalet! My family of 4, including 12 and 16 year old sons, had a fabulous weeklong stay at the end of June. The location was easy to find, the hosts were hospitable--welcoming us at arrival with a nice treat and overview of the property, including a resource guide for local attractions, dining, and activities. The beds were comfortable and the full kitchen was stocked with all the cooking essentials to prepare meals from food we purchased at the grocery that's less than 10 minutes away. We look forward to staying here every time we travel to Bijaqua de Upala."

"Alexandra went out of her way to make me feel welcome. She made a fruit smoothie and coconut snack as a welcome treat. The Tico studio was very functional and fit the jungle environment. The bed was very comfortable and with the sound of the rain I fell asleep quickly and awoke refreshed. Honestly the best sleep and rest if the trip. Alexandra made empanadas and tea for breakfast. Totally unexpected as the description didn't indicate that breakfast was included."
