Nice stay

Nice short stay. 40 min drive to Cape Town and to airport so wasn’t bad for early drive for the flight. Air conditioning wasn’t working on arrival but it was fixed for our second night. No air con was on at breakfast which would have been nice but the breakfast was nice. Didn’t stay long enough to use facilities but overall a lovely location and nicely presented hotel

Checkin process wasn’t great, sent message requesting an earlier checking at 7am on the day, had to chase a few times and then never got a full reply. I eventually had to call. Upside: Estate is lovely, it’s safe. Downside: The lodge is quite dated, shower drain was blocked and breakfast was sub standard. I wouldn’t recommend.

Room needs attention, it is supposedly a 4 star establishment, lots of damp marks on walls and bathroom seems to only have a light coat of paint on walls. I am only 1.72m tall and the beds were too short for me and my wife, our feet was hanging over edge.

Staff was friendly and helpful. First 2 days breakfast preparation need to improve but then after it was OK.Also improve on setting arrangements for breakfast, too many people booked but fewer tables arranged for family of 5.

The Lodge is a bit dated and whilst comfortable, there were a few issues with the room. The desk chair was rickety, the desk lamp didn’t work, the heater foot was broken and the aircon remote needed new batteries.

Sehr freundliche Betreiber, gutes Frühstück. Das nächste Restaurant ist in Kalk Bay, einen 15 Min Spaziergang entfernt. Leider ist die sehr stark befahrene Straße M4 direkt vor dem Haus. Dadurch recht lauter Verkehrslärm.

Value for money

On our arrival we were received very friendly and warmly. When entering our room it was very spacious and comfortable. Even the bed for our 6 year old granddaughter was ready. The rusks and coffee was a great luxury, especially for our 6 year old; when she though there is a rusk shortage she went to the dinning room and every time she was spoiled with extra rusks. Overall, we had a wonder time staying at the The Lodge at Atlantic Beach and their hospitality is no where else to found.. The Lodge at Atlantic Beach is highly recommended.

A great place to stay! Very friendly staff always looking to help and quick with suggestions and ideas of places to see. Good golf course (difficult in the wind) and facilities even despite the drought and water shortage. It is some way outside of Cape Town, but within 30 minutes you are in the centre of town, or the winelands.

Au bord du golf et lotissement sécurisé

Très bel accueil, petit déjeuner simple ( pas de bacon) mais très bien : pains !!!,œufs , charcuterie,fromage, céréales, yaourt,... Chambre nickel, personnel super aidant pour repas et divers. 20 kms environ du waterfront,10 century city, sur le golf .

Nicely located on a golf course a little outside greater Cape Town. also very convenient and close to attractive beaches
