Perfect Boutique Hotel

Such an incredible hotel. It felt more like staying with friends. The owners came to chat with us at breakfast everyday and see if they could help arrange plans or reservations. Blessings, the manager, was incredibly kind. The area surrounding the hotel was nice and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Guest house with amazing staff and surroundings

Had an amazing stay at the Underberg. The staff were super friendly and the owners took well care of us as well as everyone else! It's situated in a great neighbourhood in Tamboerskloof with only 2-3 minutes walk to amazing restaurants and bars. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back when I visit Cape Town again!

Egal, was du vorhast, die Besitzerin gibt sich viel Mühe und organisiert deine Vorhaben professionell und maßgeschneidert für dich, wie Fahrten zum Kap, zu den Winzern, Seegeltour, Flughafentransfer etc. Du bekommst viele gute Tipps. Das Frühstück ist sensationell von hoher Qualität, das gesamte Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, daher hält man sich gerne auch in den öffentlichen Räumen auf. Dort kann man sich mit Wein, Spirituosen, Snacks, Kaffee und Tee bedienen und bei Abreise zahlen, alles auf Vertrauensbasis.

We had a lovely stay at the beautifully stylish Underberg House with great hosts Anne and Bruce who were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Ideally located for sightseeing in Cape Town and walking distance to good local restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We would highly recommend this lovely guesthouse.

Good location, easy to find, about 40 minutes walk to V&A. Great views of Table Mountain from veranda. Large room, good breakfast. Great hosts full of ideas and information.

Great stay in a Fab place....

Wonderful and elegant B and B. Great hosts who run a really first class establishment , breakfast was epic with everything cooked beautifully. The rooms are spotless and comfortable . We were returning back to the UK on a late flight and we were allowed access to store our luggage and freshen up late in the afternoon. I would highly recommend the Underberg with the only slight negative being the hilly location .

Sist gang jeg bodde på Underberg House var for ca 12 år siden. Siden da har stedet skiftet eier og fått en betydelig "ansiktsløftning". Men, man har beholdt den gamle "Cape Townianske stilen" - og godt er det. Rom, service og mat var utmerket. En liten detalj manglet: Vannflaske på rommet. Parkering av bil er også en utfordring,

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und liegt in der Nähe vom Signal Hill und Tafelberg. Das Hotel ist mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr stilisch eingerichtet. This place is pure perfection. Wonderful staff, excellent breakfast, comfortable and spacious rooms/bathroom. The house is beautifully decorated. There is also a great selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance. We loved this area of town.

Sehr schönes Haus, stilvoll eingerichtet mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Das B&B liegt in einem ruhien Wohnviertel und relativ zentral. KLoof- und Long Street sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Tafelberg, Waterfront und sonstige Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Bowl und im Umkreis von 4-6 km sind gut per Uber oder Taxi erfahrbar. Hervorragendes Frühstück und gut bestückte Bar zur Selbstbedienung.

Für Autofahrer super gelegen (Waterfront 10 Minuten). 5 Fuß-Minuten vom Hotel gibt es leckere Restaurants. Die Inhaber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist einfach super... uns hat (außer einem Kühlschrank) nichts gefehlt. Von der Terrasse aus sieht man den Tafelberg. Von unserem Zimmer auch den Signal Hill. Parken am Haus war nie ein Problem. Gerne wieder 😀

Home away from home

Traveling solo for the first time, I picked Underberg House based on reviews commenting on Anne and Bruce's special attention to their customers, I was not disappointed; they are the best hosts ever. Advice on sightseeing, what to do, where to eat, help with getting organized, etc. Place is conveniently located, far enough to escape hustle and bustle of Long street but a short cab drive from it or table mountain cable car (beautiful views from the hotel), walking distance from Boo Kaap, etc. Breakfast is delicious and made to your taste. Wifi works great. Thank you Anne and Bruce!

Allez-y sans hésitation!

Nous recommandons vivement cette magnifique maison d’hôte, qui nous a enchantés. Les propriétaires sont d’une très grande gentillesse, le petit déjeuner est délicieux, la décoration de la maison est magnifique, le lit est confortable et le wifi marche très bien. Le quartier est sûr et on peut aller le soir à pied au restaurant, d’ailleurs il y en a plein de sympa à quelques minutes.

Great guest house in Cape Town

Underberg House is a lovely guest house and Anne, Bruce and their staff made us very welcome. We can definitely recommend a stay there if you are visiting Cape Town and we will be going back there ourselves sometime in the near future.
