Great villa!

We had a great week at the villa. Everything is as advertised. A very good location for visits in the area. The pool is great for very warm days and safe for little kids as it kan be closed and secured. I would recommend this villa anytime!

Lovely holiday in Trebes

Ideal place for a holiday close to Carcassonne, Trebe is a really lovely village on the Canal du Midi, Villa Rene is a 10 minute walk to the village, with various restaurants to chose from, a short drive to the nearest supermarket. We had a lovely holiday at Viĺla Rene we used the swimming pool daily which was a luxury, we also used the bikes at the property to cycle along the canal paths, all in all a great holiday would definitely go back again thanks Annie and Tommy.

Perfect stay

Villa Rene is very spacious and has everything you need for a very relaxing stay. The heated pool was lovely and the opening and closing of the cover was very simple. We were greeted by Geoff who showed us everything and explained how to use the more complicated items including the TV which you can get all the UK channels. The Gas barbecue was brilliant and the choice in the supermarkets for fresh meat, vegetables and fish were amazing. The Villa was extremely quiet and secure and the location is only a 15 minute drive to the Cité which is brilliant. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Beautiful villa

We've had a brilliant two weeks at Villa Rene. The lovely pool was used every day for swimming and just cooling off. Loads of wildlife including swallowtail butterflies and we made friends with the geckos on the patio! Excellent location just minutes from the village. 10 minutes to Carcassonne and not much more than an hour or so to Toulouse. So much to do in the area we just ran out of time! The house was lovely and clean, well equipped and bigger than it looks on the website. Ann and Tommy were super helpful and even researched veggie options at local restaurants for us. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this villa.

Great villa

We really enjoyed our stay, the villa was exactly as described. Communication with the owners before we arrived was great and Geoff who manages it was really helpful sorting a problem for us. The inside of the villa was great, sufficient wardrobes and drawers in the bedrooms, which is often not the case in France. The above bath shower was powerful. Downstairs the sofas were comfortable, a nice dining area which we did not use as we sat outside every night. The only suggestion would be perhaps to have a second fridge in the garage which would be useful for keeping additional drinks cold. Outside the pool was fantastic. The seating area was lovely. Although on a residential street, it was lovely and quiet with friendly neighbours (although the villas either side were both empty during our two weeks). It is a short trip down to the centre (0.65 miles), easy on the way down but uphill on the way back. We enjoyed walking down for breakfast and baguettes in the mornings. We went down for food a few evenings alongside the canal du midi. Our favourite places we ate were the fish restaurant by the canal (who do a good non fish/veggie option) and the Moroccan restaurant which is tucked away but worth a visit. There are a couple of medium sized supermarkets on the edge of the village which are useful and a large one on the edge of Carcassonne a short drive away (10 mins).

Wonderful base for Occitanie region

House is situated in a small town on the Canal du Midi just southeast of Carcassonne. Within a n hour drive there are botanical gardens, beaches, lake, an Abbey and vineyards. Very pretty drives to your destinations.House is in a quiet neighborhood, on site parking. Check in is easy with manager Geoff.

2 weeks in the sun

Very nice holiday home that is well equipped with everything you need and very comfortable. Our only complaint was the weather. It was too hot, meaning we didn't do as much as we intended and were forever looking for shade. It was great to be able to dip into the pool to cool down.

Wonderful villa in great location

The villa had everything we needed to have a fabulous holiday. The children loved the pool and it was a great size - brilliant to be able to cool off during the hot weather. Trebes is a lovely little town. I used the bikea daily to get our croissants from the bakery and we had a lovely bike ride along the Canal du Midi. Villa is well located for seeing castles and abbeys in this beautiful part of France. I'd highly recommend this villa and location.

Excellent facilities

The house was very well equipped, they had thought of everything you would need. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short but the time we spent in the house was brilliant, the weather wasn’t good enough to tryout the heated pool. The walk into the village was about a twenty minute stroll, there was a bar open all day and several restaurants open from 7pm which is normal for France.

A Southern France Getaway

Villa Rene is a very nice modern house in a residential area just outside of the town centre of Trebes. It is a great spot for friends and family, especially when it is warm and sunny and you can use the private pool. The Villa is well equipped and we cooked some of our meals rather than going out every night. The main attraction in Trebes is the canal du midi, a very pretty waterway which you can walk or bike beside for miles. We visited near the end of September to mid-October, the weather was nice but swimming was pretty limited. There are lots of things to do and see in the area. We really enjoyed many of the small villages, the Lastour Cathar Castle and the Gouffre Géant de Cabrespine.

Die meisten Utensilien sind in der Küche vorhanden.Es gab genügend Toilettenpapier und Reinigungsmittel sowie für die Spülmaschine! Die Sauberkeit könnte noch verbessert werden, die Töpfe waren schon sehr gebraucht und müssten u. E. Mal getauscht werden. Die Eigentümer sind vorbildlich
