The room appears to have been remodeled and it was very clean and comfortable. The bed was quite nice and I slept well. The hotel is off the main drag, so it was pretty quiet, no road noise. Staff was quite nice, however, I needed a new room key and the gal did not ask for any ID. I only provided my room # and a new key was provided.

This is relatively a new hotel and the furniture and the beds were all very new. The bathroom was outstanding. They had great breakfast, especially the muffins were fantastic. Also, the staff were extremely friendly.

We loved our stay here! The beds were great, the rooms were recently remodeled from the look of it. The staff was helpful. For the price, it was perfect!

The room was nice but there was long black hair in the shower and bathroom floor. They cleaned the room but did not clean the hair. The breakfast was not great either. Pre packaged toast and pancakes. No milk our first morning.

Had to come back and forth to the front desk due to room issues. The first room I got was not cleaned. I was given another room that does not have 2 beds. I was told I can wait for the first room to be cleaned since there are no other rooms available or cancel the reservation. I cancelled. Another person on the front desk said the room he got still has stuff inside the room. This property needs to get its act together.

Tolerable for One Night
First room I was given was not cleaned, the second the room keys did not work. Both ice machines were empty, breakfast is very limited with no hot food. The laundry is free and the price was right so 6/10.

Was charged 4 times for our rooms all different prices. Beds were ok. Parking was full. No communication. Check out even thou I paid at night and they tried charging me at checkout again. Breakfast fresh mediocre

The hotel has an unusual entrance, but once in, the lobby was clean and updated There was no one at the desk. We waited for several minutes for a clerk. Our key would not work once we went to our room. Had to have clerk let us in. We were never given a key. We had to get the clerk to let us in every time. The room was quiet and clean and freshly updated.

no hot breakfast, actually nothing at all
Stayed two nights for business. Chose this hotel because of the "hot breakfast" was advertised. Not only was there no hot breakfast, but there was nothing at all. Not even coffee was made either morning. There were some pre-toasted bread slices in ziplock bags that I guess you could eat. The room appeared clean and the shower/bathroom worked well. The electronics in the room strangely were all unplugged (lamps, TV, etc.) WiFi was simple to connect to, but WiFi was not connected to the internet, so it was worthless. Very noisy road noise is clearly heard in the rooms, as well as occasional shouting from walkers by. Would not stay here again.

The rooms are very well up kept, the service was great. The bathrooms are freezing in the winter, and the Continental breakfast was just toast, cereal and some yogurt. But other than that the stay was excellent

Decent Stay at Post Time
The rooms were nice, clean, and looked like they were recently updated. Location is good within walking distance to many restaurants. Receptionists were nice and friendly. 2 complaints: 1) The inn was advertised as having "free breakfast" but the breakfast left much to be desired. For example, there was cereal with no milk and a single package of store bought pancakes for everyone to share. 2) You can hear the cars with loud exhausts very clearly at night when they are racing down the streets.

Property is newly renovated (I'm told). Room was large, clean, comfortably appointed. King bed w/5 pillows was great! Staff was lovely, friendly & helpful, informative. Centrally located, so very accessible to most Carlsbad town locations. HEADS UP: apparently day shift at the oil fields starts well before daylight, so if you weren't planning on a 5:00am wakeup - you should. The roar of a parking lot full of Ford 350's firing up at once can only be rivaled by the starting line at the Indy 500! Try to get a room upstairs and at the back.

The sheets were stained. The ac/heater unit was unplugged & not working properly. The tv didn't work (hdmi unplugged), and the fridge was unplugged. ONLY breads, pb & jelly for continental breakfast. Juice & outdoor ice machine out of order. Customer service nearly nonexistent - not helpful with anything.

An economical motel that is in the heart of "downtown" Carlsbad. Easy to walk to local restaraunts and cool "Blue House" coffe spot. Bed was comfortable and there were good shades for blocking out the light to sleep at night. Cleanliness was a little lacking in that on the comforter under the bedspead on one of the two beds in the room there were many short black hairs embedded in the outer fabric of the white comforter. Also short black hairs attached to the wall of the shower at shoulder height.
