“I am sorry to say that when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon after a five hour drive, the property was clearly already occupied. At a busy time of year, it was difficult to secure other accommodation at very short notice. The company operating the rental were, however, very helpful in trying to organise something else, although we sorted the problem independently. We have used Vrbo several times in the past and have never had a problem before. There was obviously a breakdown in communications on……

“House not cleaned properly, plug socket in middle bedroom hanging off wall, tv aerial cables hanging out wall in kitchen at fridge,leaking radiator in kitchen - reported to owner/management company on day 1 of holiday - no response. Had to put newspapers down to dry floor up, wall crumbling in corner of kitchen, paint flaking off numerous walls & in poor state of decoration. Have stayed in many holiday cottages which were all of much better standard - I would not recommend this cottage.”
