Oceanfront Townhome Near the Boardwalk!

Our "Templeton" townhome is in the Bluewater Complex on Pleasure Island and only eight blocks south of the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. You will be within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and an abundance of summer activities such as fireworks, carnival rides, movie at the lake, and live music all at our legendary Carolina Beach Boardwalk.

Have fun in the sun while staying at this three-level, oceanfront townhouse! There are 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and enough space to accommodate the whole family. Enjoy your morning coffee and watching the sunrise from one of the three spacious oceanfront balconies. The first floor features an open floorplan kitchen with an eat in kitchen bar that seats two and overlooks the dining room and living area. The dining table seats four and welcomes family meals or evening board games. The living room offers a great gathering space to relax and watch TV and a sleeper sofa enables this space to transform into an additional sleeping area for extra guests. A large sliding glass door leads out to the large balcony with an outdoor dining set that seat up to six people. Enjoy dining ocean front as the waves crash in the background! There is a half bathroom next to the kitchen, for convenience.

On the second floor, you will find two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a Queen bed, private full bathroom with shower tub combination, and private ocean front balcony with rocking chairs. The second bedroom on this floor is perfect for the kids with two twin beds and a separate full bathroom with a standing shower.

The third floor has the spacious primary suite that offers privacy and a great place to escape to relax. A large Queen-size bed, TV, and oceanside balcony with rockers make this the ultimate retreat at the end of a long day. The primary suite also includes its own full bathroom that has a walk-in shower.

Updated windows ensure that you will never miss the opportunity to catch a pod of dolphins offshore, or the majestic seabirds flying about. The beach access is just at the end of the building, making it a convenient location to walk to the beach. There is a lifeguard stand (#9) just outside at the Spartanburg beach access, so your family can safely enjoy the ocean fun! Make your plans to visit Coastal Carolina today!

Stay Requirements: Saturday to Saturday rental in Summer. Minimum two night stay other seasons.
Bedding Configuration: 2 Queens, 2 Twins, 1 Sofa Bed.
Parking: Parking for two compact vehicles - one in the garage, one in the driveway.
Pet Policy: No pets allowed.
Prohibited: Pets, Smoking, RV’s, Boats, Boat Trailers, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).

Amazing Beach Views

If you are on the fence about booking this property, DO IT! The views from all three balconies are breath taking. The condo itself is outdated and the furniture is old but the view more than makes up for that. It is right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants. My family and I will definitely be coming back next year!

Great location but...

The good: absolutely wonderful location and beautiful views. Easy walk to the boardwalk even for little kids. The public access to beach was right next to the property. Although I didn't mind it being public, it would have been nice to know because it did get blocked on the off- season weekend with golf carts. The space of the rooms and layout of the proprty was perfect for our family. The bad: the place was absolutely filthy and in disrepair. I don't mean it hadn't been cleaned, they're was clearly years of grime built up on the furniture. Photo hooks with no pictures, an outlet hanging out of the wall, broken chairs inside and out, it looked like a kindergarten class with dirty hands was let loose with markers. Overall it needs updating, but beyond that the master bathroom looks like it should in a horror movie. Limescale covering the shower head, cracks in the walls, cheap plastic surround that is barely big enough for a small adult and no way to keep water contained. The carpets were stained and worn, again with deep brown grime. The place could be wonderful with a little updating and basic maintenance.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

The title is a spoof on that well known real estate phrase and in this case it is very true. This townhome is in a great location with fantastic views of the beach, particularly from the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. It is also within easy walking distance of the boardwalk and activity area in downtown Carolina Beach. As other reviewers have noted the interior of the home is very dated, in fact I would say it is pretty much in the original condition when built last century, accept for carpets, etc. The outside of the entire complex has been totally renovated so the balconies, rails and sliders are all in good, new condition. But we really did not care, the price point reflects the condition of the interior. The home is still very comfortable and if you have couples staying there, as we did, there is plenty of private space. My only gripe about the home were two things. Firstly, some of the furniture was in poor condition. There was a chair on the top balcony that was literally falling apart and quite unsafe to sit on. No excuse for that. Secondly, we had a small child with us and the pickets on the stair rails are far apart and easy for a child to fall through. This is actually a code violation and I was surprised the rental company (Bryant) had not insisted this be corrected as it is liability. Those are the only two reasons I marked this townhome down to 4 stars overall. But to be quite honest I would rent again as it is just such a fantastic location for the price.

Great location!

As in previous reviews the house was a little run down but that didn’t bother us because we felt more comfortable and at home. It was clean. We can’t say enough great things about the location! The garage actually has a door that opens into the sand. The beach access is just at the end of the building, less than 100 steps. Easy walk to the boardwalk and night life! We loved this area and this property! We would definitely stay here again!

Met our wants and needs

The condo is perfectly located. Access to the beach was adequate but took a couple of trips since the public access was almost a block away. The place was clean and more than sufficient in terms of space. Parking was a challenge due to small driveway and the need to “fit” one of our two cars in the garage. Family living in the area had to pay for public street parking whenever they visited. It wasn’t hard, but, could be expensive over several days. My only issue with reserving the place was a “late notification” to sign the rental agreement or else lose our reservation. Bryant notified me of the looming deadline and informed me that their emails get sent to Spam…that’s where I found it. Bryant needs to solve this issue in order to satisfy renters that their reservation is secure. Apparently paying a deposit isn’t enough to secure the reservation. Please fix this for future renters.

Good spot for family

The condo was large enough to accommodate 2 adults, 2 older teens, and a middle schooler. 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths with a sofa made it easy to spread out. The bathrooms were somewhat small. Almost everything needed updating (walls painted, carpet cleaning, etc) but that also meant we didn't have to be extremely careful with things either. I've stayed places where I felt all I did was clean to keep things spotless. Everything was clean when we arrived. Bed linens were clean and without stains. The bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was clean. Be sure to take paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and any other things you might need. The 3 balconies were great for viewing the ocean. However, there was no direct beach access. You either had to walk on the street or open the garage door to get to the access. Beaches were not crowded which was a plus and why we love Carolina Beach. Easy walk to the boardwalk and any other shops/restaurants you may want to visit. Overall, good stay.

Great layout and location

First, I have a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan and it fit exactly in the garage with my windows folded in and a couple inches to spare, so if you want to know if your vehicle will fit, look up the dimensions. No one would give me measurements so hopefully this will help future tenants. The location of this place was excellent and with three college age kids with us, having them on their own floor with own bathrooms was perfect. It was so nice having three balconies with views. Although some of the furniture and carpeting needed cleaning or replacement, this is a beach house and we were fine with it, we did not spend a lot of time there. We thought it was a great place and would definitely stay there again.

Great little place

Clean enough and perfect location. The decks are wonderful and the beds are great. Definitely needs updates and some TLC. The kitchen and full baths need to be gutted and totally redone. The couch sags. I also didn't understand why I had to stop the realty office to pick up check in materials. I'd definitely come back, though.

First time at Carolina Beach!

We had a great time! This beach was clean and family friendly. The walk to the beach was easy and very accessible. The condo does need some updates, but it was clean and it fit our needs. The parking is not the best for two vehicles, but we made it work. We are definitely coming back to this beach!

Fabulous location on the beach with three decks

I agree with other reviews, attention is needed in this property. I am unsure if it was due to Covid but, bring family games. There are none. There is a drawer in the family room with some dried out paints, puzzle pieces, torn coloring books, some cards but not a whole deck. The views off the decks are incredible and relaxing except, the top floor has only ONE chair. That was the room my husband and I stayed in. The middle level had two lovely chairs and a table. Hmmm. The kitchen is very well equipped except for a measuring cup. Bring your own! The garage has tons of beach chairs, bicycles, toys and boogie boards! It is considered one of the parking spaces, and is tight for a mid-sized SUV. The location is perfect. We were able to enjoy sunsets from the balcony easily. We needed to call maintenance one day and he was there within the hour! Couldn't beat that. Internet worked well with two remote workers and teens keeping it active!

March getaway

Location is great, close to the boardwalk, lake, and restaurants. Parking in town is expensive, you walk to most places. One note is that the property photos do not accurately represent the condition of the property. Mostly cosmetic issues.

Great Family Beach House

This cute multilevel beach house was the perfect location and space for our family! The locals are incredible and so nice. The house was equipped with everything we needed! Having linens included was also amazing!!! Thanks for a great stay!!!!

Wonderful family vacation

Little pricey considering its outdated and needs some upgrades, but our family had a fabulous week. It was our 1st time in Carolina beach and it was so relaxing. It's a bunch of houses nearby that still needs repairs from the hurricane and many businesses on the boardwalk still shut down because of it. Overall Bryant real estate was easy to work with. We did love the keyless entry. That was awesome for our family of 4 grownups so no one had to keep up with keys and could come and go separately with ease. The townhouse had the most awesome views on floor 2 and 3. Would not recommend for people with small children or the elderly as there are ALOT of steps and they aren't kid friendly. Also there is lots of neat restaurants and ice cream shops and the boardwalk all in walking distance. My husband and I also enjoyed a morning walk most days either on the streets or right up and across there is a gorgeous lake walking path. Definitely needs some updates but we would definitely stay again.
