Stylish Trulli with Private Pool for 4 guests in Puglia
Stylish trulli with private pool in Puglia in the countryside of Castellana Grotte, 3 km far from the centre. The villa may welcome up to 4 guests with two comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The villa has been recently restored keeping in mind its proximity to the sea, comfort and function.
The trullo is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday in connection with nature and with the typical greens of the Mediterranean scrub, at few steps only from the beautiful caves of Castellana Grotte and just 10 km from Alberobello, the so called "city of trulli" for its cha-racteristic abodes.
The beautifully designed interior with wrought iron and glass details offer a well-lit envi-ronment perfect for relaxation and enjoyment. It is 50 square meters in size on the same floor and has free wi-fi access and air conditioning in the sleeping quarters.
The trullo has been restored in 2018 and all the areas (outdoor and indoor) have been care-fully considered during the restoration.
Outdoor there are: a spacious dining area under a shady gazebo (patio); a great barbeque where numerous steaks, sausages and fresh fish will be cooked; the spectacular pool with ozone water is private and measures 8 metres x 4 metres; another shady area with sun-beds near the pool, perfect for relaxing after a swim; an outdoor shower near the pool; a shady patio for the car.
Indoor you can see exposed ancient stone walls along with original fossils on them. These walls are so thick that the rooms remain cool even in the hottest months. The kitchen is equipped with hob, oven, fridge, freezer and toaster. There is a master bedroom with a window, a bedroom with two single beds (joinable on occasion) and a bathroom with shower, WC, basin, bidet and washing machine.

Super nice villa!

Gorgeous place - great host - perfect vacation!
We spent 2 weeks in July as a family of four (Teenage kids 18/20) and we highly recommend the villa!
The Trullo was very well equipped, even better than described, there even was a laundry washer and air conditioning, also hair dryer, toaster, coffee maker, water cooker - great! There was a nice welcome package with water and juices, a bottle of wine and capsules for the coffee maker - thank you!
We enjoyed very much the outside kitchen with the seating area. The gas stove, barbecue fire place and the fully functional sink with running water allowed us to do all of our cooking and dinners outside. We loved it!
The communication with the owner family was perfect. Special thanks to the owner Giuseppe for cleaning the pool and the surrounding area early in the mornings and for surprising us with some local bakery on Sunday! The pool and the pool area are very spacious. Olive trees and a shaded seating area offer enough opportunity to cool down from the sun.
We visited many nice places/cities which were all good to reach by car. The Grotto, Monopoli, Putignano, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Matera are great places to visit. We hope to be back some time!

Lovely Holidays
Dear Domenico and Giuseppe,
First of all many thanks for warm welcome and specially to Giuseppe for cleaning every morning the pool and surrounding👍. Everything for a nice and comfortable stay was as described on the website. We enjoyed very much the outside kitchen and all place around the pool . We had a top holiday, difficult to return at home .
One suggestion: a map / booklet with information about local markets in the neighborhood, bakery, butchers, restaurants with their addresses would be very useful for future guests. Our top restaurant : Osteria del Caroseno.
We certainly recommend your lovey trulli .

Quiet and very rural
The communal areas were small inside the property (kitchen and lounge) but the bedrooms were of decent size. Large patio outside with kitchen facilities, and a large (unheated) pool with sun beds.
Because of its rural setting there were quite a lot of mosquitos and biting flies on the patio in the evening, so take some spray with you.
The water pressure isn't great, especially the hot water, but the shower in the bathroom was fine.
Nice place though but do use a satnav or Google maps to find it first!
Plenty of supermarkets in the town.

Beautiful Truli in Puglia
The house was lovely. We were met by the Giuseppe's son Dominico who spoke excellent English and gave really useful advice. The living area of the Trulli is compact but most of our time was spent outside on the very large patio area or around the pool which had a lovely covered gazebo.
The outside area has a hob and a BBQ for outside cooking as well as washing up facilities. There was a nice welcome pack with water and juices, a bottle of wine and lots of nice teas and a coffee machine.
The pool was fab and a welcome relief from the southern Italian heat.
The town of Castellana Grotte is about a 20 minute walk away or five minute drive and has lots of good restaurants.
We loved 'Pizza and Spaghi' for their cheap take away pizzas.
Osteria Del Caroseno was lovely for some really high quality food. We had a good meal Cesarino 36 also.
Must visit nearby towns are Monopoli and Alberobello. Lecce was also nice but further away (1 and a half hours)
The caves at Castellana were also worth a visit, but the queues were long so arrive early if you want a tour in any language other than Italian as they only do two tours a day in English/German and French. We were late so missed ours.
I would thoroughly recommend this Villa for a really relaxing holiday with a good base to tour and see all that Puglia has to offer. We would definitely like to go again.

Even better in reality
Perfekt semsterboende för 4 inomhus, men utomhus hade plats för långt många fler.
Fräscht, välstädat, välfungerande semesterhus som har precis allt man behöver för en avkopplande semestervecka.
Incheckningen var smidig och vår värd mötte upp på plats när det passade oss. Han och hela familjen var sedan lätttillgängliga under hela veckan för alla småfrågor och annat. De rekommenderade bra stränder och restauranger och allt vi kunde tänkas fråga om. Poolen städades flera gånger under veckan medan vi var borta från huset eller fortfarande sov, vilket gjorde att man aldrig märkte av att någon var där, bara att vattnet och poolområdet alltid kändes skinande nystädat.
Uteköket var fantastiskt och vi lagade all mat där. Gott om plats och nya och fina möbler. Poolområdet var superfräscht och hade både sol och skuggplats, vilket var grymt. Utomhusduschen var också ett stort plus.
Inomhus är det litet och köket är trångt, egentligen inte gjort för att faktiskt spendera tid där, men det funkar om man skulle behöva vara inomhus vid oväder eller liknande och då rymmer det precis det man behöver, varken mer eller mindre. Sovrummen känns dock rymliga.
Generellt var allt i mycket fint skick, det mesta nygjort, men med en bevarad känsla av den italienska charmen.
Allt fungerade felfritt och vi var mycket nöjda med vår helhetsupplevelse.
Jag skulle rekommendera Giuseppe och hans fina Trullo till alla och skulle gärna åka hit igen. Stället ser fint ut på bilderna, men verkligheten var ännu bättre.
Skulle jag leta leta efter potential att förbättra något skulle det vara att det inte hade skadat med något mer porslin, något extra fat för uppläggning och så vidare. Och kanske att grannarna längre bort på gatan hade lite bättre diciplin på sina skällande hundar. detta var inte ett stort problem, men hade kunnat välja hade jag gärna valt bort dem.
