The staff was terrifically accommodating and the property was beautiful. There is a restaurant, small bar and pool on site as well as short walking trail, hammocks and, since they are up on a hill, beautiful views of the valley below Aquara. "

We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. "A pretty amazing place. Looks very luxurious, the restaurant and the meal was super fancy and yet very reasonably priced. We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). Be aware there are many steps down to entrance and then stairs up to the accommodation. Breakfast ordering was a bit of a phaff having to download an app and each guest had to create an account in order to choose breakfast items. "
