The hotel sits in beautiful grounds and has plenty of parking, including several EV chargers which was very convenient. The rooms appear very dated but very clean and spacious. Sound definitely travels throughout and we could easily hear our neighbours. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed a tasty roomservice meal, although it felt overpriced.
Wonderful stay. Room was large and bed comfortable. Leisure facilities were very good and relaxing after travelling. Breakfast and dinner food was excellent.
Old elegant hotel. Yes a bit worn in places but spotlessly clean. Food fantastic. Views and grounds are spectacular. Very dog friendly. Rooms spacious and warm Pool good. No spa. Golf right on your doorstep. Staff helpful. Annie at reception especially so. Lovely walks and close to beaches and cute towns. Lacked atmosphere in the dining room and bar areas. All in all great value for money and a restful few days. Planning to return.
Scenic, accommodating pets, homely feel, good views from room. Good downstairs rooms with National Trust like decor. Swimming pool & jacuzzi fab. Downside guest rooms dated but very comfortable beds. Needed a little dust. But didn’t spoil our stay. Would stay again.

Lovely warm welcome, beautiful building. Good facilities like a pool to keep my kids entertained. Had a drink on the night from the bar and relaxed in a beautiful room watching baby deer on the golf course. Woke up from a good night's sleep followed by a delicious breakfast in the hotel dining hall. We all loved it and will definitely be back on our next travels through Scotland.

Everything was nice the staff to the food it's such a beautiful period build with a good mixture of old and modern. A nice large swimming pool alongside some games for children to keep entertained. Will be back hopefully later this year to finish off my wee tour of D&G
Having stayed at the Cally Palace Hotel and few times I've always had a pleasant overall experience. The hotel sits in a beautiful countryside location, ideal for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
The rooms were comfortable and clean and everything was functional. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made a positive difference.
One of the highlights was the food—both dinner and breakfast were enjoyable, with a variety of options aswell as having a relaxed and welcoming feeling.
Overall, the Cally Palace Hotel is a great choice if you’re looking for a peaceful stay in a scenic setting. While it could benefit from some slight updates, the service, surroundings, and overall experience make it worth considering.
Very relaxed stay. We enjoyed the walks around the hotel and the leisure facilities were first class with a lovely pool.
The room was huge and spotlessly clean overlooking the pitch and putt course.
The dinner was first class. We had an excellent menu supporting local produce and food was beautiful. Service throughout our stay was excellent.
The hotel is in beautiful grounds and looks very grand. The pool and hot tub were lovely, unfortunately the sauna was out of order.
I was a bit disappointed with the room, it was absolutely huge but very much needs updating. There was a mixture of old furniture, a bed with no headboard, worn carpet. We slept well but it was just a bit of a sad room.
Everything was clean.
The breakfast was lovely!

I know the building is very old but it is very tired, needs lots of maintenance & refurbishment inside & out. Our room/bathroom was dated, no handrail round bath therefore shower was terrible especially as my mobility isnt great! The staff were friendly, food was the best part of our visit. The grounds are lovely. I honestly dont know how so many elderly/disabled cope with the stairs etc.

Pleasant with staff nice and helpful. Food was very good with a varied menu. Would certainly book again
Not our first stay at Cally Palace. We like the area. The hotel is set back in private grounds but within easy reach of the A75.
The rooms are always comfortable and clean. The staff are helpful and friendly.
There is a pool, hot tub and sauna which we made use of.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which we fully enjoyed.
After a stay at Cally Palace we always enjoy our time and leave feeling relaxed.
Looking forward to returning soon.
