Nice enough stay. It was stressful parking and getting into the house. The text sent didn't have the garage code so i went all around looking for how to get inside. I ended up looking at the email and got it figured out. The driveway is really steep. I scraped my suv trying to park. The house is nice. Neither bedroom has much privacy. We kept tripping on the fireplace. I wouldnt recommend having toddlers here. It was stressful with the stairs and deck and fireplace. This would be a nice adult get away. The coffee there was a year old so definitely bring your own coffee.
Here are some things that would improve the stay:
Need bigger coffee maker makes only enough for one person
Coffee mugs cracked
Teflon pans in poor condition
Need stainless steel colander
Exterior of windows need thorough cleaning lots of spider webs
Driveway is hazardous for normal cars it scraped the hell out of the bottom of my Toyota
Dishwasher does not accommodate your dishes either provide smaller dishes or better dishwasher
Need Kleenex in bathrooms

Honest Review
We read the reviews before booking and thought people might be exaggerating—so we gave it a try. The house isn’t bad, but it could be more welcoming. Most rentals we’ve stayed at had small touches, like a music device, but this one didn’t. They did not provide cooking essentials like oil..not even shot glasses. Bring your own stuff!Driveway & Parking:The driveway is steep and dangerous, especially in snow. The ad says multiple cars fit, but that wasn’t our experience. My midsize pickup didn’t fit in the garage and barely fit in the driveway. If you have a full-size truck, lifted vehicle, or large tires, parking will be a challenge. Street parking isn’t allowed. We saw similar reviews, gave it a chance—never again!Cleanliness:At first, we rated it a 4, but later noticed crumbs of food on the dining chairs, debris on the sofa, and hairs on the sheets. The cleaning crew needs to do better—no traces of previous guests should be left behind specially when you charge for cleaning fees. Other Notes:•Bathrooms/showers were good.•The first-floor bed was amazing, but the second-floor bed wasn’t great.•The second-floor room needs a thicker curtain; the current one is see-through, and the neighbor’s windows directly overlook the room.Location:The best part was being super close to the village.Overall, not terrible, but there’s room for improvement.

Disappointed
I want to say that I have stayed in VRBOs since 2013. Most properties have rules, but there were OLD post it notes everywhere saying what you are NOT allowed to do. The view and property were nice and I loved the master suite view from upstairs, but it didn’t make up for all the problems. When we arrived to the retro cabin there were several issues:
The property is supposed to have a freestanding WOOD-BURNING fireplace, but you can’t burn wood in it. This was unacceptable because we were trying to recreate our honeymoon as we had a cabin in Gatlinburg with a wood-burning fireplace. To claim to have one and then say you can’t burn wood is ridiculous!
There was no wine (as promised).
There were 4 (2 mini) bath towels, a hand towel and a wash clothe in the entire place.
Half of the lights don’t work and are burnt out.
The carpet is really gross. It needs to be replaced; it’s bad!
There are old sponges that smell and have weird residue on them.
After I e-mailed Christina about all of our problems, she sent someone without telling or emailing us (she didn’t leave a message about it on email, phone or text). We drove up and the lady who was in our rental didn’t have a mask on! The garage was wide open and so was the front door! Our $6K bikes just sitting there for anyone to take. I thought it was policy for anyone to wear a mask.
There are dishes in the dishwasher that were never put away!!! With the laundry list of items we have to clean, I believe this is unprofessional.
I didn’t know what to do but was very frustrated and upset. I’ve never had this issue renting a property on VRBO before!
Christina was a wonderful host. She responded very quickly and communication was simple. The cabin itself is very lovely. It has a lot of amenities and very close to restaurants and the lake. The outdoor deck is absolutely gorgeous. Just wake up and enjoy a cup of freshly coffee (also supplied by the host) while listening to the bird chirp.
Awesome place and will definitely head back during the winter season.
I love this place everything was just as I read and it was so cozy
We had our barbecue the first night with a glass of wine on the beautiful deck all my family was very amazed such breezy air n just the trees the whole scenery. I would recommend it for sure the kids had fun in the TV room
Thank you for allowing us to stay there. One more thing we went on a hike to the village it was beautiful by the lake.
Loved how close Is is to the lake and trails. Awesome Large deck in which we spent a lot of time out there.
Easy access and the management was very accomodating.
everything that is pictured for this property is how you get it! the place was big enough for the 9 people i had staying there. two beds and two pull out couches. the place was equipped with plenty of dishes, also had plenty of napkins and toilet paper that we thought we’d run out of. the nights were cold but the heater kept us warm. there was also extra blankets and towels if needed. the patio area was perfect when we made a small bbq. there was also a popcorn machine which i thought was pretty cool! overall my experience was great!

Retro is Cool But Retro and clean
The Carpet is filthy! The bathtub and shower are really clean and nice. There are signs up that say please enjoy the Wine and other things but there is none. THE DRIVEWAY DAMAGED ALL OF OUR CARS. The Driveway is practically inaccessible because it is so incredibly steep. One side of the Driveway has like a cliff and really needs to be repaired it's TERRIBLE!! You have to drive all the way to one TINY LITTLE side in order to get up there AT ALL!!!
The cabin was warm and inviting with views of the lake. The property was well stocked with basic necessities such as blankets, towels, and cookware. Also included was coffee, tea, popcorn, and many other goodies. We would love to stay again!

Perfect location
We had a wonderful time. The house is located in a great location near the lake.
Just minutes away from the hiking trail. A 5 min drive to the village and 20 walk on the trail to the village. The homes decor is so retro, and nestle in some amazing pine trees.
Very quiet and relaxing. The owner is great, returns call and texts very fast and is very caring.
Our only one warning we would give, is the driveway and walkway to the house, is
VERY STEEP, so anyone with any walking disabilities this would not be a good choice.
Thank you for a wonderful stay

Nice getaway
This is a very rustic, old school cabin. I enjoyed being able to have a weekend away from technology. It was close enough to the lake that we were able to do a little hike on the trail to town. The owner is very quick to respond to any emails which is greatly appreciated :) overall it was a nice little get away.
