"When I arrived, they had overbooked the double queen bedrooms, and we had to stay in a king room with a cot for three people. They offered a $50/night discount, but when I went to check out, they stated it should have only been offered $150 to spend on hotel amenities. I was informed I had to call Hotels.com to have them confirm the discount and then the Royal Sonesta would credit my balance. Eventually, Hotels.com was able to credit me one full night and I did not have to communicate with Royal Sonesta any further. Additionally, during check-in it was not explained to us that we needed to select ahead of time that we wanted our rooms cleaned, so that did not occur during our stay. We had to ask for additional blankets/bedding for the cot as you could feel the springs in it. Our bathroom did not have an air vent. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again when visiting Houston, but was very thankful that Hotels.com was able to credit me for one night given our room situation. "
