「I originally stayed at this B&B about 20 years ago while walking the coastal path, & decided to return as the village was in an ideal place for our touring holiday. The steep driveway & smallish space made for tricky parking with a large car, but doable. Our room was clean & comfortable, if a little dated in style. The owners were welcoming & helpful.
Breakfast the next morning set us up for the day.
We had a meal in the pub near the beach, & took a stroll around the village.」
「We stayed six nights and enjoyed it immensely. There is a real homely feeling to the hotel. There were a few niggles but you get them wherever you go. The staff were polite, friendly and most attentive. The bar and restaurant were more than satisfactory and the heated outdoor pool was a brilliant addition. We will definitely be going back especially since my partners friend is residing in Bideford now and we will happily reserve a room at Durant House Hotel whenever we visit.」
「Lovely little apartment.. very clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable!
Hot tub was lovely and we sat in it and watched the sunset over the sea.
Complex is quite run down but work is ongoing to improve the facilities.
A manual for the hot tub would have been useful having never used one before.」
「A beautifully clean and welcoming hotel on the beach in Croyde. It’s safe, fantastic amenities and there is something for everyone. The staff are extremely polite, knowledgeable and friendly. It’s hard to find accommodation these days where there is nothing to fault - Outstanding! A perfect little get away.」
