Retro 70s cabins with the essentials- hot shower, comfortable bed, flat screen TV. Price is great (2 Queens) for less than $100 including all taxes and service charges! It’s all very clean and quiet, with off street parking but the best part is that it’s right down the street from the cutest little downtown area with a diner, coffee house, theater, department store, and more I stay here every time I’m traveling down Hwy 44. Oh yeah, it’s also the first exit off the turnpike if you’re headed east from Oklahoma City.

We chose to stay at the Lincoln Motel because it has been on Route 66 for decades. We knew it was an older motel and did not expect all the amenities of a modern motel/hotel. However, the room we had was dark and gloomy. The decor was not welcoming. Our room needed fresh paint as there were several deep scratches on the walls. There was a window-type air conditioner located high on a wall in the bathroom area of the room. I had to move a bench into the bathroom to stand on so I could turn it on. There were very few electrical outlets so bring a power strip. A couple who were also traveling Route 66 asked to see our room as we were leaving to see if the room we had was as bad as the room they stayed in. It was. We won't stay here again and would not recommend the Lincoln Motel to other Route 66 travelers.

The Lincoln motel
Most motels have coffee in the room. This place did not offer breakfast or coffee in the room. It did not have a hair dryer either. The place needs work.

An absolute disgrace. A dog shouldn’t be allowed to stay here. Damp floors, awful smell, very badly painted, nylon bed cover. Furniture was literally sawn in half to fit into the room. Naked light bulbs right outside the door created a fly and bug haven inside the room, I spent an hour trying to kill bugs before trying to sleep, only to realize the bugs were also coming in through the ceiling light fixture. Spiders and webs throughout the room, cannot have been cleaned in months. The bed was old and uneven whilst being extremely noisy and damp. The bathroom was disgusting, faucet not working and the door would not close. Showering was an absolute NoNo. I left after 5 hours broken sleep. The nights stay was more expensive than a chain hotel, I was robbed and you will be too. Wipe your feet on the way out of this one or better still NEVER stay there. A few hours later I am sick with a bad throat and heavy respiratory cough and tight chest. Guessing that’s because the A/C was so dusty and dirty and decades old. I have bug bites all over me. One plug with an extension to serve the TV, microwave, fridge and A/C unit so when I plugged my Phone into charge the TV went off and the lights flickered on and off. I don’t have enough words to say how terrible this place is. If you value your health stay away from the Lincoln Motel in Chandler. The receptionist/owner did not care and was frankly rude and argumentative.

This small motel was exactly what we needed after driving across the country. It was clean, check in was fast and the hot water was wonderful. I’ve spent a lot more for a lot less.

I really liked the old charm of the place. I came there in the winter so nothing was green but they could clean up around the area. The bench at my room was broke and off to the side. The place could use some TLC but overall great experience!

Rt 66 travelers don’t stay here
We stopped here as part of our Rt66 trip. All the other places we stayed were adorable and stuck to the theme. Our room was so shabby. Torn chairs, stains on walls. We had to pull the beds out so we could access outlets. It was a big disappoint. I wish the owners would embrace the Route 66 mindset and update. The linens were clean. Nice shower with good pressure. I would not stay here again.

This Motel doesn't even hit the star rating, let alone achieve a 1-star standing. Cockroaches and dirt and an absolutely nasty experience. I want my money back.

The staff is friendly and helpful. However the room is not up to the standard based on the price. It is a property that is maintained to the minimum, nude lightbulbs, microwave I did not even open, fridge that has been used more of his share. No coffee maker which would be expected for this price. So basically I took this motel because of Route 66 but I would not recommend it.

Looks like a very quaint place but was very run down. Bed was very noisy. You moved and it creaked. I appreciate that the attendant asked if I wanted a hard or soft bed. Bed needs to be replaced. It was quiet for lack of guests so hard to tell. The attendant was more personable when I checked out then when I checked out.

Bugs and neon
Not super clean. Lots of bugs were flying around the ceiling lights, which we assumed got in when the door was open. I spent so much time killing bugs. Sheets and bedding were clean though. Overall it wasn't bad, but you can tell not much care goes into this historic Route 66 motel. And one of my biggest pet peeves, the neon sign wasn't working fully. Come on people, where's your 66 pride?
