Cute house and for the most part clean, but the neighborhood is VERY LOUD!!! We didn't sleep at all while we were there. Sirens all night from the ambulances (hospital is nearby), police car sirens buzzing past on the road next to the house, you can hear the guests all around you partying all night and we could hear the folks upstairs walking around. The house was pretty clean, except for the couch. The couch had some dog/cat hair on it and it smelled as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Same with the porch swing. Also, the handle on the toilet was totally broken upon arrival so we had to wait a day for the maintenance folks to come fix it. It was fixed, but not great. Shower water pressure so so. Internet/cable lines came down in the storm so we couldn't get out of the parking lot. Since it was the weekend, it wasn't fixed by the time we left and we had to jump a curb to get out. The property managers were easy to communicate with, but you just don't want to have any issues when you are on vacation. Also, it is quite a bit of a walk to any decent restaurants or shops. We thought there were more coffee shops and nicer places on Spring St., but it was about a 25-50 minute walk to any of the places we were going. This may be a great place for younger folks wanting to party, but not so much for adults wanting to enjoy a good night's rest, shopping and dining in Charleston.
