The property and rooms were historic and charming. Our room was very private and spacious. Breakfasts were prepared with care and were delicious, with the same offerings each day. The proprietors were very helpful and kind.

My husband stayed here when we had a death in our family. He commented how lovely the room was (cottage) , the bed was comfortable and he loved the cats that lounge on the exterior. He also made reservations for 8 at the restaurant . Thank you for your hospitality and providing a comfortable restful place .

Wonderful B&B The owners were delightful. Our room had such a great old feel to it and the food was better than our dinner at the well known winery down the road. Highly recommend it

This is a historic property and was very unique old Inn. The room was clean and the owner's were very friendly especially at check-in. (Note: they do not stay on the property overnight so make sure you have what you need before they leave). The breakfast is included unfortunately I had to leave before they served at 9 so the owner made up a to-go bag for me the night before. There is also a coffee shop nearby in case you can't make the breakfast. The restaurant was excellent. The wine, meal, and dessert were 10/10. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

The hotel was closed upon arrival and no one ever arrived. The windows were broken and there was an odor of cat urine and a dozen feral cats. We left since the hotel was closed and sought other accommodations. I will demand a full refund from Expedia and my credit card company. Filthy!

Breakfast was good, no juice offered, however. We're likely not to return because in conversation with one of the hosts "liberals" were mentioned, not in a favorable way. A footbridge in the Charlottesville area was complained about and that it's only use seemed to be for protests. In this volatile and fragile political climate, we felt uncomfortable hearing these remarks. Won't recommend or return.

Charming Historic Inn

The proprietors of the Inn were very hospitable and available. It was a very charming historic place and we enjoyed touring the town with the historic markers on the buildings and the park down the street. We especially enjoyed the individually prepared breakfast in the morning.

Unique stay in an historical building with lots of charm. Welcomed by a friendly host who showed us to our room where we found champagne and chocolate waiting for us. Spacious, comfortable suite. The breakfast was outstanding! We chose scrambled eggs and French toast and highly recommend. Easy access to Shenandoah National Park. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful historic inn. We stayed in the Washington Suite and where complimentary champagne and chocolate were waiting. Very comfortable accommodations. Lovely breakfast. The omelette with fresh spinach and tomatoes and feta cheese. So good. Kaye was a lovely host. We highly recommend and hopefully will have an opportunity to stay again.
