"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The hotel is part of a very large restaurant with good food and good service. "Excellent hotel. Weve stayed here 3 or 4 times and always pleased with it. "

"Great stay - the proprietor was extremely helpful . These people know how to run a hotel. Meticulous eye for detail and everything was very easy. Storage and charging for our bikes in their garage and ice cold water to get us thru the hot weather. Room was in very good condition and all amenities were working and functioning."

"The staff were nice! But we had to pay 20 euros for sheets and towels as they were not included with the room. This was not stated until after the booking was made. Also the beds were basically just sofas, not very comfortable. Cheap just for a night to sleep but I would not stay there for more than a night."
