Nearby activities include the city of Cognac, with different visits to the distillery—the long sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast, La Rochelle and its historic harbour. Les iles de Ré et d'Oléron . Take a boat trip from La Rochelle around the famous Fort Boyard. The architecture of Poitier, Angoulême, and Rochefort is fascinating, and there are sightseeing opportunities. The Futuroscope theme park, Zoodyssée, la Vallée des Singes. Or the Prehistoric site of the Tumulus de Bougon, the Gallo-Roman theatre of Saint. Kayaking or boating on the Charente or cycling on cycle route V93, passing along our property following the Boutonne River.
