Mountain family retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed this cozy cabin up in the mountains near Maggie Valley! It was more than large enough for our family of 5 (two adults, kids ages 6, 9, 11) and the cabin was VERY well decked out for family fun with tons of games, books and two tvs (set up for streaming) in different parts of the cabin. The cabin itself was spotless when we checked in; the kitchen was the best stocked rental house we’ve EVER stayed in, and the views from the porch while quietly sipping my morning coffee couldn’t be beat! I only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the cabin to its fullest- it is almost a destination for relaxation in and of itself!

Just perfect!
We loved staying at the cabin - the sunrise view, the lookout across the valley, the quiet evening at the firepit, and relaxing inside after hikes and exploration. Sitting on the porch in the morning and having a hummingbird hang out with us was a lovely moment. The kitchen has everything you can possibly need and more. If you like firm mattresses, you will have no trouble sleeping - the bed downstairs is softer, so that's an option. Jeff and Deb are great hosts - gift basket, excellent communication and thoughtful notes + information, definitely made us feel welcome. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great View Great Amenities
One of the best homes I've rented in The Great Smoky Mountains in the past 20 years of visiting. The home was stocked with everything you can imagine. Jeff and Deb were very helpful during our stay for 5 nights. The views were exactly as described in the details of the property. However, there are three things I would like to point out that some may be concerned with. The first is the mattresses are very firm. A thick pillow topper maybe an accessory for some guest. The second is the access road to the cabin is quite steep (varying 8 to 10 degrees in sections of the gravel road leading to the cabin) some sections is paved but transitions to gravel. A four wheel drive is a must in the winter months. The last thing is the Cameras. Yes, there are a total of 8 cameras covering the every angle of the property. Some facing outward and inward towards the "Parking Area". One of the cameras facing the parking area is a Game Camera. There are two cameras facing the fire pit area (one on the lower level and one on the upper area). I believe in security and the rights of the property owners to monitor their investment but I believe this is over the top. Some people may disagree. Overall, this is a beautiful property but may not appeal to others based on these items.

Well-stocked home with gorgeous views
We very much enjoyed our stay at Turning Point Cabin. Owners, Jeff and Deb, were beyond hospitable... having stocked the house with any supply you could imagine needing, all labeled for easy access, and communicating with us thoroughly throughout our booking process and stay. The house is clean and modern and the views from the porch were perfect to enjoy with coffee or a glass of wine. Thanks for a great weekend, Jeff and Deb!

Absolutely Amazing!
This property was beyond amazing. From the clear communication from Debbie to the mountain views and everything in between. The kitchen is fully stocked, and I mean FULLY STOCKED. There's a ton of cooking spices, sugar, coffee pods, tea, water, condiments, and every kitchen utensil you'll ever need. The views are breath taking and the property is exactly as it's pictured. We almost stopped at a welcome center before getting to the Cabin so we can plan out our week and I'm so glad we didn't because Debbie has her own welcome center on the Kitchen buffet cabinet with TONS of pamphlets of things to do in and around Waynesville/Maggie Valley. She even had a welcome basket with wine and goodies for the kids (which they loved)! There are also baskets full of board games and puzzles. Their bathrooms are stocked with shampoo/conditioner, qtips, cotton balls, mouthwash...everything. They really have thought of everything to help guest feel welcome. My kids were so bummed that we had to leave. They asked us numerous times to extend our vacation. I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Settlers Ridge. Do not look any further, this place was magical!

Terrific getaway location.
This was probably the best stocked vrbo we ever stayed in. They thought of all kinds of details like extra soaps, body lotions, flashlights, Keurig and Nespresso coffee choices, fondue, waffle maker. The facilities were up-to-date. They even left us a welcome Gift. Very very complete and thoughtful.

Beautiful property
Beautiful property and great communication with property owner. Its evident that they really care about this home (it shows!!). The driveway is a little scary as we arrived at night and it was questionable as to whether we'd make it back out with a loaded up van (its steep but we made it out in low gear). I would recommend driving in during daylight if you're not used to driving in the mountains. We would absolutely stay again. Our whole family loved it!

Luxurious Mountain Lodge
The Settlers Ridge house was a perfect retreat for our getaway from the city. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, especially the well appointed kitchen where we were able to make some meals. We did not have cell phone service (sometimes were able to get one bar), but the Wi-Fi was strong enough to connect multiple devices. The property sits above the tree line, so views from the deck were amazing! There is a gravel driveway leading to the house, which was a little steep in some sections, but we were able to navigate without any issues. The town of Waynesville was a short drive from the house and we enjoyed visiting the local breweries - Boojum, BearWaters and Frog Level. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway are nearby. We took advantage of the nice weather and went driving and hiking in the park. We saw wild turkeys, elk, and a black bear! We highly recommend this property and hope to come back!

Amazing in every way!
We were in North Carolina to visit our son who attends college there and couldn’t get home for the Thanksgiving holiday, so we met with 2 of our daughters who also made their way down there and brought thanksgiving to him. We couldn’t have imagined how special a place this was, beautifully & thoughtfully appointed, but nestled in the mountains with views that were incredible. We would come back to the spot in a heartbeat & hope we can again! Thank you Jeff and Deb, kind regards always the Willingham‘s

MAJESTIC!!
Stop!! Look No Further! This one is it! We have stayed in quite a few very nice Vrbo rentals from Highlands to Asheville and this one is by far the best. The pictures area true representations of the home, although seeing it and experiencing it in person is on a whole other level!! The panoramic mountain view is so breathtaking that at the risk of sounding dramatic, I would liken it to a spiritual experience. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. There are no cars passing by or planes overhead. The only sounds you hear are birds chirping and an occasional afternoon /evening passing rainstorm hitting the metal roof. You will be greeted by birds singing and sweet visits from tiny hummingbirds each day and you may have a brief bear sighting. (Respect the bears, and they will respect you :) When we arrived at the cabin we were tired from our early morning travel and did not realize that our last chance to get groceries or food was about 6 to 8 miles or so prior to reaching the cabin we were delighted to find that the owners have sort of a "sharing" pantry, frig and beverage cooler stocked. We were so hungry when we got in that it was nice to be able to grab a drink and a little munchie before heading back on out on the road to stock up on groceries for the week. The deal is if you use something, replace it with something. In addition to the sharing pantry/ frig - the owners have thought of every possible need a vacationer could have from toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, hairdryers to extra towels, pillows, blankets, and every possible dish and small appliance you could need. Also stocked were commonly used spices, sugar, salt and pepper. It's all of these little extras that really made this Vrbo stand out. These thoughtful conveniences made us feel welcomed and like the owners were invested in creating a GREAT user experience. I cannot say enough about how absolutely fabulous everything about our stay, the home, the view, and the owners were. We will definitely return as often as possible! LOVE
