My adult son and me stayed at the hotel for two days early in June.
The area looked nice and safe, the room was spacious and clean, the breakfast (cereals, oatmeal, milk, coffee, and orange juice) was suitable for us and pretty good for the price. We did not need air conditioning, so we did not even try to turn it on, but we opened the window to let fresh air in; we both really liked it.
One of the best things is that check in starts at 10:00 am; it was just great!
The parking is large; if you need public transportation, there are at least two bus stops just next to the hotel.
I wish there was a coffee or tea pot in the room and a hair dryer in the bathroom, but I understand it might be too much for the price we paid. However, a couple of hooks for clothes or towels in the bathroom could be affordable for the business and helpful for the customers.
There is no elevator, which may not even be necessary for the two story building, especially if your luggage is not heavy. The front desk receptionist (or manager) kindly offered to help us with the luggage.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the Heart O’Chicago Motel, and if we take another trip to Chicago, we’ll most likely stay there again.
