Evening staff were accommodating and pleasant while the morning staff was not. Room didn’t have a table nor was there a table to sit at outside of the room making it difficult to eat in the room (leftovers). No microwave. Loud noises throughout the night not associated to music or people enjoying themselves.

I would have given the hotel a five star rating except for one night when the people next door to us in room 202 played music from midnight to 5 am. I tried knocking and then I texted the front desk several times and got no response either way. I told the front desk the next morning but they weren't very responsive to my ordeal. It is what it is. Other than that, the 3 night stay was very nice.

MAJOR miss that the website does not note that there is NO elevator available and it was third floor walk up! No mention on website that there are actually 2 separate hotel buildings and only one has an elevator. Room was clean. Housekeeping did not replenish courtesy toiletries. Super loud generator right next to room.

Great location but hotel dated, room felt like a cave since drapes broken and could not see pool or ocean view without removing drapes held on by Velcro. Pool area okay but no hot tub. I likely would try another hotel next time.

I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel manages to stay in business. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that this place is long overdue for a complete overhaul—starting with the room bathrooms, which were an absolute disaster. Poor water pressure, inconsistent drainage, flushing that looked like they hadn’t been updated (or properly maintained) in decades made even the simplest routines frustrating.
The rooms themselves felt stuck in another era—and not in a charming, vintage way. Everything was dated, worn, and tired, giving off the impression that upkeep is the last thing on management’s priority list. It’s one thing to have an older property, but it’s another to neglect it entirely.
What truly made the experience worse, though, was the staff. Most of the cleaning and maintenance crew were not only unprofessional but outright rude and intrusive. It felt like there was zero respect for privacy, and interactions were consistently uncomfortable. We had a flooded bathroom with a poorly draining shower and the maintenance crew asked us what we did to it vs. acknowledging that the bathroom was broken from the get go. The only exception was one older, white-haired staff member who was kind, respectful, and seemed to actually care—unfortunately, they were the lone bright spot in an otherwise unpleasant stay.
Overall, this was a disappointing and frustrating experience from start to finish. I would strongly advise anyone to just go to another island!

The staff at King Christian Hotel were incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was exactly as pictured, though I don’t think any picture could capture how truly beautiful the view is! I can’t wait for my next visit to the island, I will be staying at King Christian again!

Housekeeping went in my room on my birthday and stole my items. Brand new shoes, a brand new tripod for my phone and my credit card. Front desk said they would check the cameras but I haven’t heard anything from them since if you go here please do not get housekeeping until you leave they will rob you then act like nothing is wrong.
