My stay was exactly what I needed after a long train ride from Geneva. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, my room was exceptionally clean and orderly, and the hotel dinner was excellent! The location was perfect too!

Pleasant one night stay at Stern Hotel

Very happy with my stay, including checkin, the room itself, the top notch restaurant and the breakfast (included with the room charge). All of the staff were very friendly and professional and spoke English.

The beautiful historic Hotel Stern was phenomenal. The location was great. The staff was top notch and very accommodating. The restaurant was superb. The food was amazing the service was on point. It definitely lived up to its Michelin star. We will definitely return.

Seems like one of the nicest properties in the area, very easy to access in center of town. Single room was tiny but clean and had everything I needed for a one night stay. Friendly service.

Charming Swiss Hotel

Reception staff were friendly and professional. Room was small but well laid out and charming. A fan was in the room which was a nice touch as it was quite hot. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was limited but everything I tried tasted good. Hotel is well located, close to the train station and old town.

Parking is limited. The hotel could benefit from removing all the old carpet and replace with tile. I know the hotel is old, but I wasn’t prepared to walk up steps to get to room (due to luggage). The room was nice as well as the bathroom. It’s located in a quiet area within walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

Great location in old town Chur and walkable to all the conveniences - restaurants, shopping, banks, etc. Room was clean but very small and dark with no view. Next time I’ll pay more for an upgrade!

Morena, the lady at the front desk is the best introduction to any check-in at a hotel and a wonderful ambassador for Chur! She was gracious and so helpful. Hotel is in a great location being in the entrance to the old town. We walked everywhere. The room the bathroom (shower) was a bit challenging being so tiny but we managed. Breakfast had a good selection. Bed and pillows were the best!!
Ample bedroom. Be careful of the threshold. I tripped and flying into the room. Failed to mention the attention to detail. In the closet in a tiny little box was an adapter for the local outlet, a flashlight and an umbrella for the guests’ use!!!!

Dated attic room with no climate control

The area is interesting. The staff was friendly but the room was terrible. As a family of four we were put in an old attic room with furniture from the 90s. Bathroom was clean but also had 1990s fixtures. The room was too hot and hilumid. Windows were small with no views. No art or decorations on the walls. Seemed like we were in a storage room for their old furniture.
