Brookside Cottage, a cozy country cottage for a peaceful getaway.

Enjoy the peacefulness of our quiet country setting. Listen to the babbling brook as you relax on the rocking chairs with a cup of coffee or enjoy a campfire beside its bank. The Cottage has new high-speed internet (Starlink-Elon Musk) so working remotely, streaming classes online, or using your streaming services with the cottageā€™s new Amazon Fire are great options for a peaceful evening. The kitchen is fully stocked with Keurig, k-cups (including decaf), and a traditional coffee maker. Alternatively, the cottage is only 15 minutes from shopping and restaurants. Close to several great mountain biking trails, white water rafting, hiking, and fishing. 45 minutes to downtown Chattanooga.

We welcome wedding guests as well! The Brookside Cottage is located within a short drive of several area venues including The Views at Sunset Ridge (2.5 miles) The Barn at Ross Farm (2.5 miles), Hidden Springs (9.3 miles) and the Coffey Barn (15 miles).

Brookside Cottage is a great place to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the country while having access to all the area has to offer! We also have self check-in and out for a streamlined and convenient process.

A wonderful little country getaway. Very quiet and tranquil. Fit our needs very well .

Checkin was fast and easy as was checkout. Loved the country setting. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet country getaway. Host was very responsive as well.

Peaceful place to get away from it all

The back deck with the sounds of water and birds was so nice. We really enjoyed the animals. The extra effort put into providing things like coffee was great.

Great time in TN!

We came in for a local graduation. We had a great time in the farm. The cottage was nice, the small creek was beautiful and the animals were very friendly. The cats loved on us and Jack was delightful. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Relaxing getaway

We loved staying here! It is peaceful and relaxing. This was just what my family needed. My son adored the animals. He couldnā€™t wait to feed Jack every day! We will definitely be back!

Great place to rest!

We loved the Brookside cottage! Jack was so cute and all of the barn kitties were so playful. Just the right amount of space and seclusion to rest our heads for the night on a long road trip. Thank you so much James!!!

An incredible getaway!

James was super communicative the entire booking process, and was always quick to respond if I had questions. The location is a bit tucked away, but definitely worth the drive. The place was beautiful, inside and out, and there are always animals to pet for the animal lovers out there. I can't wait to plan another vacation and spend some more time here.

Lovely in the country

I most enjoyed the deck. I rocked my grand baby in the rocking chair and we were both in awe of the trees, birds and brook. We enjoyed Jack the donkey too. The cottage had everything we needed and James was very helpful.

Cannot say enough about how perfect this cottage is. The adorable friendly animals, the sights and sounds of the creek. The back porch is an oasis all its own. And farm fresh eggs available. Wish we could have stayed longer

We stopped here for the night as we were just passing through. The cottage was very clean, which is the most important thing to me when I pick out rentals. My favorite part though was being greeted by all the cats!! I wish we could have stayed a little longer to see the rest of the animals but we had to get home.

Nice stay

We were impressed with how well the place was stocked with items we were not expecting. Charcoal, lighter, kitchen utensils, coffees, ect. Not exactly the most upscale neighborhood/ surroundings.

Cozy cottage

Stopped here for a brief stay while moving across states. The property was quiet and a nice place to rest on our journey. Our toddler was able to run around and look at the kitties and llamas before getting back on the road. The road in is a winding drive but that shouldnā€™t be a deterrent to staying! The host was excellent in communicating with us. Overall very enjoyable

Great stay.

We were only there 2 nights, but it was perfect for our needs. My teenage girls enjoyed the cats outside and feeding the horse. The power went out during our stay and Mr. Foster was on top of fixing the issue. It was an outage in the area. We couldn't ask for more. The scenery was perfect. Thank you for a great weekend.

Had a great stay

Check in and out was a breeze. Wanted to stay somewhere my 11 year old son would have room to play and things to do. He played outside the entire stay. Between feeding the alpacas, playing with the kittens, the goats, donkey, etc. We also had a nice fire and cooked hotdogs and sā€™mores. Location is great. Out in the country but only 20 minutes or so to downtown restaurants. And they had fresh eggs on hand!

Peaceful Retreat

Brookside Cottage was exactly what I was looking for: Peaceful, stress-free getaway. The cottage was clean as a whistle. The back porch was great for morning coffee. Hint: Say Yes to the freash eggs! Great to be able to bring my dogs, they enjoyed the trip too. Jack the mule and the kitties were so welcoming! Check out nearby Red Clay State Historic Park for easy hiking and interesting history.

Country perfection

My niece and I visited Brookside Cottage for a short mental health break and found it to be utterly charming. Our welcoming committee consisted of Jack the donkey, Cinder the cat, and Koru the kitten. The cottage was exactly as described, extremely clean, and had everything we needed, down to cat treats and carrots for Jack. Though it was no issue for us, the listing does not lie when it says that the wifi isn't the strongest. We listened to a lot of music, read our books, and had great conversations by the brook and around the fire that Mrs. James generously built for us one night of our stay (because we were hopeless and couldn't figure it out lol) A very relaxing stay and we are looking forward to returning!
