The room was awesome, the view was amazing, amenities were wonderful. Loved everything about the hotel. The only downside I had was a person above me urinated from the balcony while I was sitting out on mine. The urine splashed my feet/legs and then they must have attempted to wash their balcony off with water which fully covered me with their water/urine combo. Told the front desk the next morning, while they did speak to the people housed above, that was the only resolution, which was surprising to me.

The front desk was awesome. They worked with us to get the unit with the best view. Resort is very well maintained and convenient to everything. Enjoyed great views of a rocket launch and a parade of 6 cruise ships heading out to sea.

This complex had a family friendly atmosphere. Our room was clean and welcoming. Staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, restaurant in site, ease of parking and spacious pool and hot tub. Our only issue was that our room with an ocean view was obstructed by vegetation.

Property is showing its age but is still a very nice place to stay. Nice restaurant on site, and the pool area is great. Short walk to beach. Our room was on the 2nd floor and we had just bushes/trees for a view, no ocean view like the taller floors. Our room was great and bedding/counters/bathroom clean, except the tile floor was very dirty and turned your socks/feet black if you walked across it.

While I was happy with the resort I was not happy that the picture of the condo gave false impression about the view. The condo “oven view” as advertised was completely obstructed by beach erosion protection shrubs. That was misleading to post the picture of it as being was open view

Room was decent, but there was a noticeable lack of attention to cleanliness/maintenance in the room and resort as a whole. I purchased an ocean front room for the week, yet was placed in a room with no view of the ocean…. like no view at all… When I asked to move rooms due to the plethora of issues such as but not limited to: the view, pests in the room, defective shower faucet, defective room key, and dirty floors, the manager responded very defensively and promptly declined all requests I made to rectify my issues. If I hadn’t been firm and demanded a refund for the remainder of my planned stay through Hotels.com, I would not have gotten any of my money back. I still had to take the loss of $319 from this hotel, when I arrived at 12:30 am and was leaving before the next morning at 10:00 am due to the filth and pests. Thankful to have had support of Hotels.com in rectifying my issues, as Discovery Beach Resort management told me they had no intentions of doing so. The images provided are NOT what you get at this hotel. We would have stayed and made the best of the situation if we were met with even an ounce of kindness or care from management. I am not hard to please by any means, but when advertising “ocean view”, there should be an ocean view. Otherwise, the view should be advertised as what it is: shrubs. The gentleman that works security and checks guests in at night when booking is closed is the only good thing about this place!!!!
