Amazing! Me and my fiancée Steph came to stay for one night after having done our food tasting at the Talbooth Restaurant for our wedding. Amazing food, staff were really welcoming and friendly. Breakfast to the room in the morning was a nice touch and having the ability to be driven from place to place with their car was very helpful. The spa was lovely and all round we had a great stay and experience. Would stay again and again!!

Spa and pool were excellent used both . No air conditioning in our Deluxe room and the Dyson fan just didn’t help much at all . Shame really . Breakfast was good one day and not quite so good the next day ( different chefs they said ) . All staff at the 3 properties were really helpful especially the chauffeuse .

We had the most wonderful stay at this boutique hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we had a lovely room - Masefield, which had a large sitting area, a patio and a large bathroom. Will certainly return.

Sublime

This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime, with exquisite food, terrific service, a knowledgeable sommelier and wonderful ambience at tables outside under large parasols. Staff offer free shuttle service to and from both restaurants whenever required. A super weekend, we will return.

There are so many elements that are great about this hotel - the large bathrooms, magazines and book in the rooms (so rare now), the Jo Loves products in the bathroom, the fresh milk in the fridge! B U T the place needs more staff, there was only one person who was front of house at any time - managing the bar, driving the shuttle to / from the restaurant. It shows - the carpets on the stairs were not hoovered and the place is a bit sadder for it.
