Nice room nice workers. Pretty loud almost constantly but bearable for sure. Overall would stay again. Nice and close to cafes the main cathedral and many more attractions all in walking distance.

the area around the station was a bit scruffy with lots of guys just hanging around but the hotel was so close to the railway station. for that reason i would stay there again.

It has an amazing location and, friendly staff, nice rooms. If you are coming to Cologne and want a place within walking distance of all the must-sees at a reasonable price, this is the place for you!

Great hotel, very close to the train station and Colonge Cathedral. Although very sketchy people walking around at night and yelling. Felt alittle unsafe, but thankfully the hotel was super close to the station and we managed without any issues.

The hotel was basic but nice and clean , bed and pillows could have been more comfortable. Pillows were lumpy and duvet not so warm and fluffy . Reception staff were very pleasant. Located very close to shops and old town . Photos on the website are quite deceptive as the exterior of the hotel is quite drab !

Great location they said, well with the horns of the cars and noise of the trainstation… Breakfast was really good. Staff was not friendly especially room service. Overall its a 5-6/10 regarding the price.

Check-in was terrible; the man at the desk seemed agitated and angry, which made just matters worse. It is so important to have a helpful and polite receptionist at a hotel because this person will largely determine how people feel about their experience.

1 night stopover

Usually when I stop in Cologne, passing through, I stay at the Ibis on the other side of the station (fully booked for once). Back when I was young & broke I even used the Station Backpackers Hostel. Kommerz Hotel is a decent option for similar purposes (and roughly 20 euro cheaper than Ibis). Friendly check in, old school room key (no magstrip cards) and bottled water in room. Downside is no air con, though a fan was supplied - I might have boiled alive otherwise! If you visit Cologne as a destination in it's own right then I would push the boat out & stay elsewhere. For one night though, it's fine.
