We stayed here for a few days during a work trip and chose the property because it offered a fenced yard, which can be difficult to find when traveling with dogs.Communication with the host was good. Amber was responsive, helpful, and easy to reach. Check-in was smooth, and the home was clean upon arrival.A few issues affected our experience. We were notified on our way to the property that trash from previous guests would remain on-site until after our checkout. While the host moved it away from the entry door, the odor from the garbage was noticeable during the 90 degree weather. We also experienced a gnat issue in the kitchen.Outside, the stairs leading from the deck to the backyard appeared to be deteriorating and felt unsafe. The fire pit contained numerous cigarette butts and did not appear to have been cleaned. Although the yard was fenced, we chose to keep our dogs leashed because the fence did not seem particularly secure, especially for larger or escape-prone breeds.The neighborhood was walkable and the neighbors were friendly. One item future guests should be aware of is the driveway, which is cracked and uneven in places. Unfortunately, I tripped and injured my knee while returning from a walk. We notified the owner after checkout so the issue could be addressed.Overall, the host was communicative and the property met our basic needs, but some maintenance and upkeep items would definitely improve the experience for future guests.
