“The property is beautiful. Our room was lovely—very clean and comfortable. The seating in our room was perfect for reading, and the balcony an extra treat. Allen was so gracious and helpful. The location was great for dinner plans and a short easy drive to Churchill Downs. Breakfast was delicious—especially the biscuits and gravy. And, the young lady that served us breakfast was very nice and helpful. I’d recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who is planning to spend time in……

“Such a lovely building, clearly loved by all who work there. Information about the property, check-in procedure, etc. was communicated very clearly before my arrival. Fresh lemon blueberry scones were there for a snack when I arrived near midnight. Wow. When booking, I didn’t think about the lack of elevator at this property. My 68 year old knees did complain a little when climbing the external & interior stairs with my luggage.”

“There were very loud cars and motorcycles racing all night long. Then the gun shots came. Add the police and fire truck sirens and it was the worst night sleep I have ever had in a hotel. The hotel itself was fine but the location was terrible !”

“We stayed three night and were very pleased with our stay. The place was clean and staff were not only very friendly but very helpful. All three nights were got covered parking places. It was great.”

“We have stayed here before, but never on the 2nd floor. We do not recommend staying in any of the lower floors. The people upstairs sounded like they had a stomp session going on at 2 am and at 6am we could hear the guy next to us hacking so loud it sounded like he was in our bathroom! So it was a rough night. The bed, sheets, and AC are great though!”

“Other than the parking not being included we had a nice stay. It would have been perfect if they didn’t charge for parking since you’re staying at their hotel!”

“Property looks very nice. The common spaces are very nice. We were unable to use Valet parking as it was full. Parking there is a parking ramp about 2 blocks away. The room was small. The room temperature was warm for out liking, I assume the thermostat is a dummy one, it definitely wasn’t 65. The pull out bed was very uncomfortable according to my 14 year old, who never has complained about them in the past. The other bed was ok, but I woke up with bites on my arms and legs clustered in a line……

“While it was basically a nice experience there was little to no quick prepackaged breakfast options for people with a tree nut/peanut allergy. But they were very accommodating as its was my wife’s birthday and Father’s Day. Would go back as this was a “staycation” for us.”
