“We arrived in Cherbourg by sailboat, but the journey had been rough and we were feeling cold wet and tired, and wanted a nearby place to recuperate, rather than sleep on our boat in the cold weather. This place was ideal. We had good wash and sleep, and was refreshed for our onward sailing journey.”

Only issue was that we had no hot water to shower the morning we left, which ironically enough is exactly why we booked them because of a hot water issue at another facility. As we left they told us it was fixed and we could use it but we were already packed up and had plans/timetables for the day. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.”

“Very modern with a tranquil atmosphere. Calming surroundings with a welcoming host. Spotlessly clean and gardens are magnificent. I would recommend this small hotel to all.”

J’avais pourtant demandé une chambre supérieure, mais on m’a attribué une chambre en rez-de-chaussée qui ressemblait à une catégorie économique oubliée des années 70 : odeur d’humidité persistante, salle de bain minuscule et dans son jus, serviettes d’entrée de gamme. Pas d’acceuil. Pour un établissement noté au-dessus de 9/10, je m’attendais à tout autre chose. Il y a manifestement un décalage entre la réputation en ligne et la réalité sur place.”
