"1) Checkin details were not provided - I had to contact Hotels.com and wait ±1hr outside in the windy street to get these. Checkin was 4pm but I couldnt get in until 90 mins later. 2) Once inside the building; Entrance hall filthy with full black bags in corner, wall staining, filthy carpets, laundry cages strewn. No-one around at all, felt very unsafe. 3) Once inside the flat, it felt like someone had just left in a rush, but I couldnt be sure until I had gone through the apartment. Spooky....

"Property was okay, there was staining around shower basin seals and rust where the toilet brush etc had not been replaced in a LONG time. Glad I brought my own kitchen utensils with me as everything at the property was damaged. Couldn’t even leave a fresh dish sponge for a new stay so questioned how clean the place actually was. "A beautiful old manor steeped in history. Staff were very friendly and professional. Room was huge and well ventilated. The carpet in our room was stained in areas, but this didn't bother us particularly. I would add that we didn't dine in the hotel, but had a few drinks and some food in the pub attached to the hotel. Drinks were good, but we felt the food was quite overpriced for what it was. Staff were friendly though and were working hard. "
