“Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. Every shower had mold and mildew (and gross amounts of caulking) and mine included a sliver of dried bar soap complete with black speck inside the soap dish. The pillows were the kind you might……

“Bathrooms were tiny, had no mirrors and hot water did not work in one. Remote for one tv did not work. Lighting was poor in kitchen and dining room. Pull on one drawer was broken. Exposed wires in dining room. Cushions did not fit in living room. Needed better instructions for stove.”

“What a charming, spacious house in the Irish countryside! It was perfect for our family of 5. Everyone got their own room and my 19 year old especially loved having the granny flat to herself! The rooms were actually bigger than they looked in the pictures. The board games were a nice touch and definitely got used.Mariza is an excellent host who truly went above and beyond. She was quick to respond to questions before and after our arrival. We were welcomed by Christmas lights, fresh baked……

“What a wonderful holiday. David and his family were very welcoming and helpful with excellent information about the local area and further afield. The cottage was everything we hoped for and more - an open fire, complete kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a historic building sympathetically renovated. And with two lively dogs who instantly befriended us. There was a very pleasant short walk on the farm, and many more challenging walks a short drive away. The Adare village had everything we needed……
