Older tired property parking was £5 extra which should not in my opinion even be a supliment although I was not charged on this occasion as I was not made aware of the fee. Bed was old and not well made cup had tea stain in it before I even used it. I left at 2:30am as did not want to sleep there.

Hotel is perfect if you just want to have somewhere to sleep if you are heading to Gatwick. Basic. But quadruple room was perfect for us. Parking is an extra £5. Beds comfortable. Room and bathroom clean. 3 miles drive to APH if you are parking there. Which we were. So perfect. Having driven down from Macclesfield.

I like that the bed was very comfortable and the room and the bathroom were spacious with a desk and a separate dining table and comfortable chairs. Upon arrival the staff was kind enough to help me with one of my bags and the Wi-Fi worked very well. They’re also was complementary tea, coffee, milk, bath toilet toiletries and a tea kettle. The only thing I did not like was feeling a spider touch me at three in the morning as there were a few spiders in the room but I did not get bitten thankfully.

On arrival needed ID to take a photo of and asked for £5 parking charge per night (these should be highlighted on the booking, and parking included in the price) Room was average, shower had no curtain and took a while to drain, 1 not very big towel per person. Otherwise a pleasant stay for what we needed.

It is important to note that this is a lodge not a hotel. There's no food service on site. Check in details were missing details about how to get into the room. We phoned the assistance number, the person was exceptionally helpful and then requested that £5 cash to be left at the desk to pay for parking. Expedia notes that this is included. Felt like bit of a scam.

I've stayed here on a regular basis for 2 years and have always been satisfied. However, under the new management, I was disappointed on my last visit. As there were no towels in my room and no hot water in the sink and no one on reception to request a towel from in the morning. I am going to book it again and hopefully I have no problems and things change back to how they were.

We were very surprised how run down the room was - nothing like what the pictures showed online. Stained carpets, peeling walls, dead bugs in the lamps, old shampoo caps in the shower from the previous guests. The bedding seemed clean, but the beds were old and stained. The absolute breaking point was that there was absolutely no hot water in the shower (and absolutely no water pressure), and although we texted them repeatedly, no one did anything about it. There was no one at the front desk to talk to after we had checked in. I guess you get what you pay for. We would definitely not recommend or return.
