“good stay”

“This was our second stay at Barns and it not disappoint. The rooms are spotlessly clean, nice touch with the mini fridge with fresh milk and water. The street is very quiet, as are the rooms. Only 3 rooms but we didn’t hear or see anyone so we had the beautiful back terrace to ourselves, a little sun spot! Lovely large kitchen/dining area for your use but we ate out both nights. Would highly recommend.”

“A lovely and welcoming Guest House. A comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities, and an excellent breakfast. No problems parking on the road outside the property. 2 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes walk into town ”

“Lovely, historic boutique hotel in Ayr. Small, but nicely appointed room, convenient location. Near the beach, close to transportation, etc. Walked to a beautiful golf course, Belleisle, and played there on a spectacular sunny day. Enjoyed 2 breakfasts and dinners in their restaurant. Very pleased with our choice of accommodations. ”

“The apartment was very clean and comfortable and there was a couple of minor issues but when I contacted the owner he was straight on it immediately. I’d definitely recommend them. ”

“Rooms nice, big tv that worked! Bathroom spotless, very modern, good shower. Beds all clean white bedding, soft white towels. Room stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits daily. ”

“This is a modern hotel in an historic house with a fantastic restaurant attached. Not sure if the two are owned by the same group but probably. The check in is all virtual, no hotel staff are on site, and it went smoothly however I did have to step outside to get a decent cellular signal in order to check in. Close to the railway station. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Highly recommended!”

“This hotel has now become a Premier Inn. We booked in March to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We received an email from Premier Inn saying they would honour our booking. This was not quite the case and we are still waiting to hear from Premier Inn. Having paid in full through Expedia, was told at reception on booking in that we haven't paid so a credit card was presented and payment taken (again) from that. When we checked out, I had the email confirmation from Expedia which stated it had been……

“Die Unterkunft war sehr gut ausgestattet und bot uns ausreichend viel Platz, so dass wir uns bequem ausbreiten konnten mit unserem Gepäck (sind mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs). Das Personal war ūberaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir würden jederzeit wieder einchecken.”
