“Pat and Unawere both so nice and welcoming, and Poppy was just a joy! Also Una's cheese cake was to die for! Thanks for taking us to the bog. Your location near the middle of Ireland was perfect for our trip. Molly wants to live here now. I left my hammock hanging in the trees, You might want to take it down in the winter, but it's a perfect place. I also left the sleeping bag in case other guests want to camp in the hedge. Anyway thanks for that great stay, we love Ireland!”

“Our previous trips to Ireland were typical 10 day excursions. At the end of the trip we always felt rushed and wishing we could stay longer. “It was a home away from home and it’s all down to the hosts who went above and beyond during our stay. I’m from Ireland and live in Australia and it was magical to discover this gem in Westmeath. Lots of lovely village activity but nice and peaceful inside. We all slept really well in the comfortable bedrooms and there was so much space in the entire house. “We had a great time. The Old School House was an excellent choice for us. It was pet friendly with lots of outdoor space for our 2 dogs to explore. “We loved the ruralness of the property but also the close proxmity to Roosky for shops and local bars. The property itself was very clean and well presented with everything provided that we could possibly need or want.We felt conpletely at home. The cottage was very homely.
