“We never seen anyone other than a strange old man sitting in a room off the kitchen who didn’t speak.Honest review of someone who loves B&Bs and the charm. Pros-Before arrival the host was very tentative with answering questions. Such as we needed an iron but they had a steamer (big plus). They had snacks and drinks to grab headed out the door. “We had a wonderful stay at Wayside Inn. Our host, Joe, was very helpful and was a great chef! Our breakfasts were very good and got us ready for the day ahead. Parking was not a problem and the surrounding yard was shady and pleasant. The giant oak in the front is reported to be 200 or more years old. Our room and bath were well maintained. We would definitely stay there again. The Inn also has a great history dating back to the late 18th Century. It is said that George Washington stayed there……

“The room was pristine and so well-decorated, personal, warm, relaxing. The staff cannot do enough for you. Be prepared for a knockout breakfast (we learned a secret to those airy scrambled eggs, a dollop of sour cream). The dining room is completely windowed so the farm is always visible. There are places to sit and read, also well-decorated and relaxing. That is the leitmotif of this place -- relax. Then, enjoy. The fireplace was perfect for the chill of March. “On street parking was extremely accessible and the caretakers did a fantastic job of making sure we had a spot right out front. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and other tractions in a less than 5-minute walk.”
