Very central location in old town pedestrian zone, therefore not that easy to find and access, but nonetheless rather quiet. Friendly and efficient service, space in the room and for breakfast a bit limited, overall good value for money.

Great experience!

I had a great experience at Datong Pipa Hotel! Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. It is located within Datong Ancient City with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and thing to see and do. Will definitely book again!

We loved our stay here. The hotel is very close to the Bell Tower and Drum Tower and close to shops and restaurants yet is in an alley that is calm and quiet. It is also very close to the magnificent Huayan Temple. The hotel owner and staff are very nive and genuinely helpful. There were visitors from many different countrues staying here. Breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

Strategically located and easy to find food. Staff are welcoming and giving advices on attractions. No lift in the hotel so expect to carry your luggage if you are allocated a unit on 3rd floor. Room is decent and toilet is a bit squeezy. Breakfast is free, with some simple dishes. Overall, value for money.

Incredible hotel

Superb hotel. Very hospital personnel, clean structure and very comfortable rooms equipped with everything. The hotel is located in a convenient position, central and full of ancient buildings. They also provided us a small breakfast to go as we were leaving earlier than the breakfast time. We also forget a coat in the structure and the hotel contacted us immediately to arrange a delivery! Hands down, one of the best hotels I've been for the service and the confort.

The hotel is more than just a Hostel I would rather call it a botique hotel located in the heart of the old and renovated part of Datongnan. Employees are very kind and provide the best of hospitality. Rooms are clean and bathroom in excellent condition. It is located in area where no cars are allowed so very quiet,yet the taxi can drop you at less then 3 min walk. Breakfast is a bit short especially for foreign guest . Only time it does get busy and bit noisy is on the weekend as all the sellers announce their products and services over speakers.

We loved this place! It was a fantastic place for us to stay in Datong. It was super beautiful and lovely. The rooms were clean and warm all the time. The floor heating for winter was a dream. We had breakfast there at their buffet which was lovely to come down in our own time and do. The staff were always awake and happy to say hello. Not much English but that’s absolutely fine with translation apps. There wasn’t easy public transport but that’s because there is no train or subway. It has beautiful surrounding building and walkable food and entertainment areas. Taxi’s and DiDi’s were very accessible and quick to walk to from the hostel. There’s an AMAZING food joint right underneath the hostel that is beautiful, cheap, and unique. Overall, it was a great place to be based at for three nights.
